Not having a record of selling out, and having a better looking icon.
Well I mean Waterfox went independent again.
Waiting to see what their updates are going to be like.
tho it's not as good as it used to be, but what is? :/
Might I recommend text-based browsers such as Browsh[en.wikipedia.org] or Lynx[en.wikipedia.org]? You might have to compromise on usage, but they're probably not as nosy as Chrome. There's also cURL[en.wikipedia.org] if you're feeling adventurous.
Whatever browser you choose, disable third-party cookies and enable javascript for specific websites.
Also, use a packet sniffer to see what the browser does on startup before surfing. If you see it connecting to websites you'd rather it not, adding those websites your HOSTS file with a 0.0.0.0 IP should do the trick.
use a branch like waterfox
Firefox cannot play club penguin properly and makes recordings laggy
I use Firefox with ublock, privacy badger, popup blocker on strict mode and adguard. Zero ads seen and it blocks me from visiting unsafe sites.
