Things Zoomers don't know
"Ad" is short for "advertisement" and doesn't refer specifically to skippable videos and gifs on the edges of a web page. It just means a message designed to convince you to spend money. Billboards, word of mouth, posters and much more can all count too.

Zoomers in Western countries don't know that if they get into debt it is their own fault and not the world's fault.

Wrong. That's ALWAYS been a problem as long as credit has existed. It goes back HUNDREDS of years.

You can read it in books like Samuel Pepys diairies and so on.

The fact is when younger people get their first taste of credit avialability, you will get a chunk of them who don't get the consequences of their actions and will fall foul of it.

And modern credit companies KNOW this and will prey on it.

So sorry, quite wrong, as it's always been a thing.

"Basket Case"

Originally from WW2, meaning a solider who had all their limps blown off (arms and legs) and just comes back as a body in a basket for nurses to care for their entire life.

School kids would use it as a insult upon each other as "you can't do anything yourself", till the music band GreenDay made a song about it and changed the emotional value of the word's meaning...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUTGr5t3MoY

---

"Burning the midnight oil" meaning to stay up late at night to work or study.

"Let sleeping dogs lie” meaning to not stir up trouble, not interfering and avoid getting involved in something which would otherwise cause no problems.

Also, Zoomers probably don't know about dial up Internet, walkman or rotate phones, etc?

Going to a store like Blockbuster to rent movies and sometimes even video game hires. Going to the arcades too!

To be fair, I didn't know about many of them except from horror movies either... so I'm guessing zoomers won't know at all?
Yes and no.

You're correct in the etymology of the word's origins. But Green Day did not change the use of the word. That was one of the uses already.

We would use that term that same way in the 1960s and 1970s in Britain. Can't speak for elsewhere.

Ironically, the chords for Basket Case might sound familiar to you, as we're talking about etymology.

Ever heard Pachabel's Canon? :)

I don't like peoples generalising stuff on Zoomer like that especially considering this is liek the dumbest ♥♥♥♥ ever that they supposedly wouldn't know about.

Zoomers apparently don't know how to torrent, if what I heard about the first Dark and Darker playtest following their removal from Steam as part of that ongoing lawsuit is true.
Not sure what you're getting at there?

If you're saying the "devs" are zoomers, then clearly they do know how to torrent as the lawsuit suggests.

But if you're saying the users are zoomers and don't know how to, I don't understand what you mean?

Care to explain?
Dark and Darker was on Steam but was removed due to a lawsuit from their former employer. The first playtest was done through Steam and was a big success. The following playtest (after the removal) was done via torrent and had significantly less players due to the fact that zoomers don't know how to torrent. The discord was flooded with spam from confused zoomers who had no idea or concept on how to download something via torrent.

Ah then there's your fallacy.

Having less people in the second thing doesn't demosntrate that.

You need to show causally that's the reason not a leap of faith.

How did you discourage the most obvious reason? THat people couldn#t be arsed? Or many of the opther myriad possibilities?

Yup!

I only found out a few months ago by accident when I was playing synths that this was Canon's chords.

How I'd missed it for years I don't know.

I mean, when the Farm's "All together now" came out, I spotted that instantly. When the Pet Shop Boys covered "Go West", same.

But this one escaped me.

You just posted some awful reddit-tier fedora cringe. Endless spam from crying zoomers on discord asking how to torrent is plenty of proof.

Zoomers don´t know how it is like, when the majority keeps their word - and they don´t know how it is like to be able to buy a house and feed 4 people with a random job, which nowadays only suits to get a welfare flat in bad neighborhood. And they don´t know how it is, when there are more jobs than workers...

Well done generations before - to have it messed up for them, hope You took advantage of it...

And again
I just wanna play on loop and hear it go
So you know
There's a reason it's so famous don't you see?

not always

take for example, the american college system
The American college system is screwed up due to government backed loans that allow students to get them too damned easy and schools jacking prices up to get more of that student loan from the students.

it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ because people have to pay full price for them unless you're top of the best and get lucky enough to have tuition costs covered
