aka Infinity minus one.

that is just non existant...

Then how can we talk about it
infinity -1 = just as undefined as trying to divide any number with 0
Which infinity? There’s more than one.
infinity is a concept, not a number

If it's not a number then why is it a sideways 8?

If it's not a number then why is it a sideways 8?
because theres you can't see where the "end" is in 8 compared to an another number like 4

Exactly! 8 is infinite.

I'm not sure. I just know what all the numbers after infinity are called. Infinity and beyond

Non existant as a number or variable...

Infinity is NOT a number ,is just a concept, so "Infinity - 1" cannot exist since Infinity is not a number...

Is not even a variable like the letter x where x can be replaced with any number like how you do with polynoms like "x-1" :steambored:

This is not like "x-1" where you can assign any number to x, Infinity as I said is just a concept, is the idea that numbers are endless, not a specific number... V:

You should have learnt limits in math, the infinity appears a lot in there v:
Do you guys not remember limits on maths when functions tend to "go to infinite"?

Limits are also used as the definition of a derivative v:

Also, do not forget infinite geometrical progressions!

P=t1(r^n-1)/r-1

Good old formula v:

Infinity isn't a number so there isn't one.

Infinity is a concept to describe something. So it's not a number you can reach.

It's like saying "how many cars are there if you take one away".
