Why is this forum so negative ?

When I started to write here after years, I was hoping for a little " gamer intellect and wittedness " but I came to the conclusion that the off-topic forum as well as each off-topic language forum are a lot worse than reddit, quora or twitter.

I am not pointing at anyone specifically, but the amount of nonsense being posted on here as well as the amount of uneducated and plain toxic comments even about serious topics on here, is rather shocking and off-putting.

There are a few good people on here who really have a clue about what is going on and try to be very logical, but the majority on here seems to be barely out of elementary school.

What is your take on that ? I am asking the few sane minds left on here.

Let me help you understand the "World Wide Web Of People" that post comments online:

Some people are negative, others aren't, some post for fun, some post because they have mental issues, and some post for the "lulz"... The same goes for literally every other forum and comment section on the internet.

If you don't like it, you can easily ignore it and do something else, like knitting, or touching grass outside, or training an army of rats to steal money out of people's houses while they are sleeping, or you can start collecting stamps, or cook up a nice delicious plate of chicken tendies.

It isn't limited to this forum, it can be anywhere. But rule enforcement is a big part of it. Reddit is a lot more restrictive from what I've hear, but the people are no different

Hum.. well.. yes it wouldn´t hurt. Especially since more brighter ppl´ll naturaly come to smarter sollutions and most real problems´d vanish. But alas the Dunning-Kruger Mt. Idiots need input? Simply because every now and then you find a genuine uninformed person who grew up in an intelectual desert and simply doesn´t know better. Since we´re all natural born idiots your "rampart" stupidity must originate from being around teenagers or so?

And if things get realy dicy i look up what america elects into office have a hell of a laugh and am glad we´re not this far. My idiot of the day is a guy who believes Mt Rushmore´s a demonic portal spreading communism in Merica.

Theres a difference between uniformed and stupid people, the difference is the ignorant and the wilfully ignorant.

If people aren't willing to accept the fact that they may be wrong even after shown overwhelming evidence then it comes down to pride and dogmatism. They don't care about the truth but would rather feel like they've won the argument. These types are pathetic and I have zero sympathy for any of them, only apathy.

You gotta look after yourself first and I'm no altruist. I'm selfish and wont be dragged down by people like that. I'm more than willing to throw some stupid person under the bus to save myself.
