Reminds me about that I used to live with someone related to an old king in my country.

Turns out said king currently has 200 000 descendants walking around right now, most probably have no idea, and that person was one of them. He also had no idea. It was only revealed because this one guy who was really interested in royal family lines decided to map it out and then contacted everyone.

Scotland had a Royal Family since the 800s. A Scottish monarch inherited the English throne after Elizabeth I died some 800 years later. That was when the crowns of Scotland and England were finally combined. It set in motion a chain of events which led to the Act of Union.
