Seriously though, I prefer countryside for the benefits it offers me. The lack of crime comparitively, the quietness, the openness and so on.
However, I am equally happy in cities that I like. When I lived in Manchester, I loved being smack bang in the city. It was great to be a short walk to nightclubs or anything else. Also, when in Japan, I LOVE Tokyo and Kyoto as they're unlike cities elsewhere. Not very busy, clean, and tidy, and pretty much lacking in a lot of the downsides of cities.
