Peach Cobbler Recipe
For the Filling:

6 to 8 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
For the Cobbler Topping:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
1/4 cup boiling water
For Serving (optional):

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, flour, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using). Stir well until the peaches are evenly coated. Set aside and let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Transfer the peach mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

In a separate bowl, prepare the cobbler topping. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Pour the boiling water into the flour mixture and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are fine.

Drop spoonfuls of the cobbler topping over the peaches, spreading it out evenly.

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40 to 45 minutes, or until the topping turns golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.

Once done, remove the peach cobbler from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.

Enjoy your homemade peach cobbler!

The concept of masculinity often promotes the idea that men should be emotionless, and tough. This expectation creates an environment where men are discouraged from expressing their feelings and seeking help, which can result in severe emotional distress and isolation.

The mass amounts of it are toxic encouraging aggression, dominance, and the suppression of vulnerability. The pressure to conform to society's masculine ideals can be overwhelming. Men are often expected to be the sole providers, never showing weakness or asking for assistance. These unrealistic expectations place an immense burden on individuals, leading to feelings of inadequacy and despair.
Where does this happen?

If you're concerned about your mental health, do seek professional help. You're concerned about privacy and not wanting anyone irl to know but that process can be discreet.

The armchair psychiatrists here cannot and will not help you.

I second this.

You'll find plenty of attention, but no help here.

Men should be emotionless and tough. When your house is burning, do you want a firefighter that cries at the horror he sees, or run in, emotionless, and tough to save you? Emotions lead to mistakes, weakness leads to other problems. Given that men make up the vast majority of jobs such as military, police, construction, firefighters, even EMT, these aren't jobs you want someone overcome with emotion, or weakness filling.

The people who claim about the image of masculinity are people who feel inadequate when compared to that image. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that men need to lower their standards of strength, so a few people feeling inadequate compared to them will feel better.

If those expectations were so unreasonable, why have millions of men, including the vast majority of them in your family tree, managed to meet those expectations? There's nothing toxic about being able to control your emotions, and being emotionally strong. It's toxic AF to try to tear people down who achieve that to make yourself feel better.

I never asked for help anywhere or need it. It amazes me the masses of people who missed the entire point of this thread, just nevermind.

Also, the only thing this did was remind how much I genuinely have lost all hope for humanity. Some of the comments in response to this, are just simply ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ depressing.

So forget about it.

this forum is people cracking jokes. they want you to laugh. they don't know how. they mean well even if it seems like a dad joke to you.

you want someone that can relate?
i can.

I can relate regarding being creative. I can relate regarding playing video games.

I have something todo to get a raise. But i'm not. I should. But I'm not. I'm happy, but not all the time, nobody is. You have to not be happy to respect what it means to be happy. Like the project of course is about coding, but AI is such a mind ♥♥♥♥ I don't even know anymore.

Video Games? I can do video games. I used to play the most difficult games, to punish myself, "to hurt to see if I still feel" (it's a song). I never knew I did this. It was one video that was like a revelation to me. Then I started to remember what I liked about gaming, and started doing more of that in every game. That's what I learned.

This one wise speedrunner, Lobos Jr., once answered the question. What game should I speedrun? with "The games you love as you'll play a lot of them." .. cheers to you finding more of things you love. Once you get in the zone and find a passion, time will melt and everything should flow.
Their saying don't remind them how crappy the situation is,
don't remind them of how crappy they feel inside.

Their saying they want assurance that things will be ok, & that
life really isn't as bad as they seem to be.

It's hard to really say for sure one can actually give you that information you seek,
because everything is up in the air uncertain right now. We don't know how bad
things might really get, until they happen.

Unless you want us to lie to you?

I'm sorry you struck out, champ, but, if I may offer a pro-tip. Cook your pie filling into a compote before you put it in the crust and you'll have a slightly more delicious pie.

Serve with ice-cream and sprinkled cinnamon... and mint leaves for plating with a caramel runway. :hp_nikki:
