So you saying the rich and left politicans want to spend money for nothing? Yeah pal, thats not how it works.

Look at the folks here, they point to the left as having signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
And in the same comment post about how we need racial quotas and to hire people based on their skin color to makeup for the past wrongs...well pick one folks either you're proud of passing an act that prohibits the use of race for hiring or you want to champion hiring people based off race...they can't have both unless people are too stupid to consider their own positions.
Who trying to cherry pick which school gets funding to push their agenda again?
Oh right. Let's completely that part of the narrative for the specific purpose of not destroying this magnificient piece of right wing mumbo jumbo.
You guys should stop pumping out manipulative talking points and stop for a moment to start thinking about how they fit together before spewing them out.
This is especially bad in places like Florida trying to implement a voucher system to take even more funding that could go to public education and dumping it to rich folks so they can go to their private schools for cheaper, separating education between good schools for the rich and bad schools for the poor. Throw in how many "schools" exist solely for religious indoctrination and not actual education, and you have a recipe for disaster. Plus, the ridiculous policy of removing funding from schools that aren't getting high enough test scores, causing them to do worse, which cycles till they get shut down.
For higher level education, it's the opposite problem, universities are constantly demanding absurdly high prices for tuition, requiring students to take loans with interest in order to go. I understand colleges need funding, but tuition costs are ridiculous and have outpaced wage growth drastically, more than standard inflation could ever dream of. College doesn't need to be free though, just affordable without needing 30k in student loans just to get a job that isn't minimum wage. Wouldn't be as much of a problem if the public education system wasn't already having problems. Could be worse tho, UK has higher avg tuition costs than US and higher avg debt per student.
Parents who decide to teach their kids shouldn't have large chunks of their income taken from them to subsidize the school system that has failed them. So long as those parents are writing the salaries of everyone working in those buildings, they have every right to demand certain guidelines.
Remember when the mayor of Chicago was offering extra credit to school kids for promoting and working for her campaign? The number of times teachers have exempted kids from homework or tests if they take part in a protest, while giving more homework or tests to the ones that don't? It happens all the time. Everyone involved should have immediately lost their jobs for using the public education system to push their nonsense onto other people's kids.
Free education and the quality of the education is decent. We produced quite a few geniuses with what we have.
Although, it is probably taking a nose dive now. Our dictator has been defunding and supporting the privatization of our healthcare system for a while now, i wouldn't be surprised if schools are up next.

Because of this, fascism is on the rise in Europe too (both West and East) and there it is even worse.
They even let Azov fascists talk in French Parliament and USA Congress
when i went to school, i was taught that my ancestors were heathens
that the expansion into their territory was driven by god and a holy mission
i was taught that by default of being an american citizen, i was a christian and those that are not of that faith are wrong
this was all at public school
it took me reading a few college level books in high school to see what a whitewashed load it was
as far as math goes, every teacher had their own method and if we used the one we were taught that actually worked best for us, we were wrong and had to relearn the new method
learning our own language was frustrating as all get out
so many gd rules!!!!!
and, again, too many different teachers telling us different ways to get it done
then they send us to college with zero idea of how it works
it is bad enough without the politicians poking their noses into it
edit: forgot to mention that left handed writing was wrong, and punished!
If you want your kids to be successful, education doesn't end at school. You should be teaching them A) How to be responsible. B) How to not break the law. C) How to maintain a home by doing chores. D) How to do taxes. E) The importance of community service and civic duty.
Among MANY other things.
Some of you don't even eat dinner around a dinner table. You sit your asses in front of a TV and eat fast food. THIS is the issue with "education" today. It's not the schools. It's the parents.
I wouldn't call it an endorsement of your education system when it produces people who actually believe something like education is being given to them for free.
