Joystick? I find the genesis buttons a bit spongy but there's probably like 20 different versions
but yeah the L and R buttons on snes are a bit inconvenient for fighting games
If you forget how you remember it and look at them objectively, it's clear the Xbox is the more powerful system, followed by Gamecube and last place is PS2. A good way to compare is to look at multiplatform games, or games where the same thing released on all three systems.
Spiderman 2 for example:

I remember reading in a magazine saying the PS2 version of that game was "beaten with the ugly stick" while the Gamecube version was "lightly grazed by it". In this example you can certainly see the limitations in the draw distance when it comes to details of the buildings.
Something I recall people often complained about with the PS2 were the "jaggies". Reportedly, the PS2 lacked any kind of anti-aliasing capabilities.
It should be noted that this is an issue but not held as a hard and fast rule.
As I have consoles since the start of it all and have kept them, I play them all. I have a CRT but I rarely use it, prefering to use a normal modern LCD TV for the most part. I have yet to have an issue that's noticeable yet.
How did Xbox and Playstation and so on get involved in this?
This was about Genesis and SNES only.
I mean, if you want to do a Sony vs. Microsoft vs. Nintendo thing, go start your own thread for it. It's kinda rude to hijack a thread.
You know conversations are fluid right? Go look at ANY thread that has several pages on here and you'll see the same. That's just how it works.
Yeah, how dare they prefer a library that isn't just lesser quality demakes of arcade stuff, but original content.
That and Sonic never appealed to me at all. I honestly don't know why.
The fact that Mega Drive games are available for purchase too and not only locked behind that horrible, offensive subvscription paywall scam would be enough to prefer them.
(but also imo most of them just ARE better anyway)
That's only because Sega failed as a console and doesn't have their own hardware to put them on anymore.
Besides those retro Genesis console machines I've seen in Walmart, that have Genesis games built in them?
