Should humans be classified as animals?
Considering how intellectually superior humans are to animals and how much we've progressed, I think it's safe to say there's a big difference between animals and humans.

there is not.

at the basic genetic level we are very close to animals, and not far removed from bananas.
the fact that we play with are selves is proof were still part ape or animal, all animals that can grip masturbate
There's a fair few "humans" who like to just sit on their fat arses all day whilst sponging off the rest of society........ Parasites would be the most accurate way to classify them.
OP, no animals figured out long ago to stop talking all the time.

Humans are, by definition, members of the animal kingdom. As to the intelligence factor; most of us spend most our time doing the 9 to 5 thing. We work 50 weeks a year for two weeks of glorious vacation.

Contrast that with the animals. So, who is dumb now?
Non human animals work all year long gathering food and running away from predators for no vacation and no heated accommodation.

We ARE animals.

What do you mean? Classified WHERE and in what context?

We certainly aren't vegetable or mineral are we?
To me its very simple. An animal is a being with anima (life force). That means humans on its own are not animals, but they (or any organism) can be animals when they got life force.

Humans are animals. And we test things on other animals before giving them to human animals. And we have many animal flaws, some people are strongly pack animals that always go with the group. Some are not, at times because they don't fit into a group.

The emotions, rage, jealousy, etc of other animals we have and can subcome too.

The one vaild argument against it, is if humans are seen no different. Liberties could vanish.
I read that soon animal organs (pigs) organs well be used in humans for organ transplants, or that they figured out how to grow human organs or splice are dna with pig organs, something to that science or word

One of the things we share with animals, that I often wished was not the case is Anxiety. Anxiety is like a poison in your veins. Fight and flight is a hold over from evolution that we rarely need in an age of imaginary threats from tv and computer screens.

It can make people rather paranoid. And frightful.

Some animals can get so scared they die. And so can people, as we are animals.
That depends on what we base the score on. If we are talking about animals, whom are so selfish and greedy, that they are destroying their own habitat and letting others suffer to gain more resources than others, then sure... we should indeed call them superior.
Under the scientific definition, humans are. :steambored:
People do try to fight their animal instincts and nature. They let themselves get tamed, some people even tame themselves. Some times I realize I've caged myself in the pursuit of moral goals. But I can shatter that cage at any moment because i know its there and not me.

Theres a famous saying that goes "No society is more than three meals away from revolution". As hunger will drive people into being more animalistic.

I look at people as a wild animal ready to snap. Same as I look at a dog as being a wolf. That wildness, always exists even in the seemingly weakest and most gentile .I've seen all sorts of horrors from the human animal, and done a number of horrors myself.
