So my statistics, based on empirical evidence, is wrong, but your biased subjective opinion, without any such evidence is the objective truth?....
I understand that different regions, different enviroments, will have different ration, maybe where you are from females are not allowed to play games (some places around the world have this sadly) maybe those you know, have never had an interest or idea about it.
What I can tell you, is that statistics favour my argument, its atleast based on valid information and not just subjective bias.
If I wanted to go with my own enviroment (myself, friends, family, work, etc) then I can tell you that a lot of females play games, also on PC.
Then again, my own little inner circle, is also filled with D&D players and such (majority females ratio here) and they all play games on their PC, some play cRPG´s some play shooters, some like mmo´s some just play a bit of everything..
Maybe you are not fully adult yet? maybe your enviroment does not showcase what the statistics say.. but your biased opinion is just that.. biased.
The avarage gamer is 33. When I played ESO, the vast majority of the 600 members in my clan was females, most of them above 40, but well..
If you go play CSGO the avarage age drops a lot and yes, more males than females play CSGO... but my point here is... if we take in all genres, the ratio is close to 50/50.....
The fact you wanna use wikipedia as a source, makes me think you are still in primary school, atleast that is where I expect that to still be valid for using as a source, its not valid on higher educations, nor in proper arguments.

It is rather rude to assign gender to people and then personal attack them, but I reckon it is because you can´t produce any actual source or logic to your counter arguments.
So with that said, lets just agree to disagree.
Have a good evening.
One that surprised me was 7 Days to Die. I wouldn't have thought that would appeal but of course the building aspect is something that must scratch the Sims-like part of their brain.
Girl gamers are absolutely everywhere from what I've found and it's always been so, even more so nowadays.
Hitman is a serie I think girls would like for its plot driven choose your adventure. Tomb Raider has since early on been popular amongst boys and Metroid as well even with a female main characters. Final Fantasy X had a female main character but as it turned out with X-2 majority of players were males even if when the story was rather girlish with girls being afraid of lightning strike and a hero who later on is revealed to be a protagonist and fades away. Later sequels focusing on male main characters to improve on girls playing the games as it lost its track and appeal after X-2. Final Fantasy X was to inspire spinoff kingdom hearts which is mostly known to have a better fanbase than actual videogames.
They didn't flop for those reasons - that would need demonstrating as it sounds as if you're just pulling that one out of somewhere.
The fact is all games have various characters, and you can't cherry pick two and put their failings down to this.
She's really into psychological/survival horror, but prefers to watch while I play. Once I let her play RE7 and she basically crab walked through the entire intro, it was the funniest ♥♥♥♥ I've ever seen.
One close friend of mine Loves Diablo, and certain strategy games. She's in her sixties too.
My eldest daughter has lawys gone mad for Harvest Moon and anything like it. Sims, too.
My youngest daughter has always loved Call of Duty and Goldeneye.
that's not too sexist is it?! :S
Yeah I did for a bit, I'm not playing a shooter atm though. I might try that game again when they release British faction.
Was a pain to play with bad hearing though.
