I feel like Neptune is the most forgotten planet. Murcury is the one closest to the sun, Venus is attached to that myth about girls being from there and is close to Earth, Earth is Earth, Mars is known as possibly once supporting life, Jupiter is the largest, Saturn has it's famous rings, Uranus is a funny name, and Pluto was reclassified as a dwarf planet even if many people still consider it one.

I would say Jupiter is my favourite planet. That eternal storm is just impressive.

To be fair Neptune has got far more interest in recent decades thanks to Voyager and our improvements in telelscopes and sensors.

Mercury on the other hand does get ignored more, especially as it's relatively easier to get to (energy wise) but as it's eseentially a wee bit of a mixed frozen rock and a burnt cookie there's little much interest apart from being used as a base to study the sun.

Frankly I always wanted to know more about the planet before the internet existed, and whenever I'd visit libraries or book shows I'd try and hunt out books about our planets, Mercury was always one that had the least to show (and Pluto at that stage of course).
