Being an absolute tool on Twitter.
Money turned him into a fat racist homophobic jerk.
I mean just look at villagers and iron golems and think about typical Jewish stereotypes. He's been doing some iffiy stuff from the beginning
If he had stayed on the show while the trial or investigation was ongoing, would anyone have cared ? only activists probably, but not the viewers.
Science, facts and evidence don't mean anything in the modern mainstream press.
Yes but those are just the accusations, it could be as simple as grabbing his partner by the arm = domestic violence. Stepping in front of her when she tries to storm out of the house = false imprisonment. They generally sound worse than they are when put like this in terms of charges, I highly doubt he was beating his partner to a pulp and locking her in a cage or something.
It's not the guilt or innocence that takes up time, it's the legal fight to prove one or the other that takes time.
Wasn't the series a slow release even before this? I can't imagine what it will be now given the legal issues.
Yeah it would generally take 1.5 - 2 years between seasons, not sure why the later few weren't very well written imo but I think they have mostly finished season 4 of Solar Opposites and part of season 7 of Rick and Morty so I don't know if they're going to release those as they are or maybe try and redo them with another voice actor or something? Seems like a huge waste of money to redo what's already finished.
Will wait to see how this plays out. I don't watch R&M but I've seen High on Life and a youtuber I watch sometimes collaborated with him to do voice work.
yup fair enough. substances as a job, ya, should not be a thing.
its just, he definitely wasn't self aware that he was out of control. when people step in to try to control his drinking thats what kinda made me go 'oh here we go.'
thats fair. i am not technically pointing any fingers, just saying 'the likelihood is high' and 'not surprised if its proven true.' given he was calling a taxi to get home from work most nights.
the lawyers will go through all the details, it'll come out in the wash.
Fortunately some of us still remember Covington Catholic, Kyle Rittenhouse, Jussie Smollet, Hands up dont shoot, The Nascar Noose, Justice Kavanaugh, Russia Collusion, et al. Initial narratives all complete lies and fabrications by people with an agenda. Anyone that still blindly trusts the initial story hasn't learned from history.
Although the rick and morty guy is 100% guilty.
