Why would one prefer Windowed over Full Screen or Borderless Windowed?

It's a literal question, I just always played in Full Screen because that's how I've always played PC games. No real reason behind it, I'm just used to it. But it seems to be catching on that a lot of people seem to very much prefer either Borderless Windowed or Windowed, especially the former. I never saw any reason to do it, though, so what's the idea behind it?

Windowed for maybe easier to close the game when it freezes or something

Borderless Windowed mode or plain Windowed makes it easier to alt-tab.

Alt-tabbing, googling game guides, watching netflix, making fun of people on Steam forums, lots of reasons.

Who plays like that? I never seen. Maybe streamers or youtubers who have 2 monitors and game does not support borderless?

You're asking who multitasks while playing video games? Lol...like only a bejillion people.

I never use window unless playing Diablo 2, I use window boarderless so I can use the net, or change movies on other screens, only game I use fullscreen right now is GD, since it has a problem when movies are playing on other screens and not working.

I realize I risk starting a debate on what gaming generation does what, but I get the feeling newer gamers have a habit of doing that, whereas we late 20-somethings just don't make a habit of it.

But I have nothing I'd want to multitask, anyway.
