Dumdie, dumdie, Daaaa... YAH YAH!!!!
And made them like Pirates of the Caribbean? I don't like Disney at all!
Star Wars should have been sold to Christopher Nolan!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBMqJ9mQKpI
He was in Episodes 1,6, and 7.
Man, I just remembered he was in the Tenth Kingdom. That was a great mini-series.
Ugh. NO. THat would be horrible. He doesn't do films like Star Wars. That would be a horrible directing choice.
No, I think you're wrong, he would be perfect. That man knows his sh!t, is very clever and could turn Star Wars into a real sci-fi rollercoaster and he could make the Sith look so much darker, and smarter. I really think that man could have done wonders with Star Wars, all trolling aside!
Pirates of the Caribbean was a saga about a theme park ride. There's not much meat to cut there.
Star Wars has a lot of lore behind, like Marvel to properly cement a trilogy.
Doubt Star Wars would have benefited much of Nolan's style.
Problem I have with Disney is that they want to make a family movie, and there are so many of them already.. I mean, sure we have a lot of action movies that are 18+ but they have barely any meaningful story in them. Why does Star Wars has to be for the whole family? the Sith would really shine so much if it was more focused on Adults, I really mean that!
But ofcourse, it will never happen

The good thing of SW is you can get the two given its lore.
You can have the 'family movie' SW and the 'dark adult themed' SW. Kind of how the MCU plays the two lines with the big name movies (Avengers, Cpt. America) and the smaller superhero movies (Ant Man, GotG)
But you need to go big (hence why I keep going back to Disney) and diversify. If you keep tying it to one person you're constraining the saga to one vision.
You need someone to 'think big' the universe. And disney has made it quite right in that regard so far.
Tito, you really do need to see Hot Fuzz. I think it is the best of the trilogy. Oh! ANd while you are at it, watch Run Fatboy Run. Pegg and Dylan Moran (You probably remember him as the jerk in the glasses from SHawn of the Dead) are amazingly funny in it.
If they really wanted to tell the story from the begining THEY SHOULD HAVE STARTED THERE TO BEGIN WITH! Especially when anyone makes a prequel over 20 years from the original movie/book. The difference in time and technology and movie direction and even social issues and such do not lend well to making prequels.
Prequels also ruin themselves from the begining because you already know how things will turn out in the end.
That said ... even as someone who saw/loved the original 1st film when they were 9, begging family to take me to the theater so I could see the 1st one 4 times and who will always love the original trilogy chrs/actors in some nostalgic fashion...
...I don't care about Star Wars Universe anymore. Old or new. It's exhausted itself in my mind. And if the original trilogy films come on TV, I'm likely to change the channel as well.
So sick of endless franchises, really.
All three Prequel movies are utter tripe. The acting is absolutely atrocious from everyone. The special effects take point and leave story and acting in the dust. There are no memorable characters, scenes or dialogue in all three. I, to this day, pretend they don't exist.
TFA finally, after all these years got Star Wars back on track, and I'm excited for Episode VIII

Reasoning: As a standalone science fiction film, Empire Strikes back may be one of the top 5 of all time, and it's easily the best Star Wars film ever released. It has the best of Star Wars. Best musical score, best acting, best action, adventure, mystery and the biggest twist in cinema. I rank VI second because it plays off the twist that V set up and the final act is actually really good, especially the final duel between Vader and Luke...it's chilling and the Emperor was amazingly evil.
VII rekindled the franchise with a great cast, very good acting and effects that were excellent but didn't overpower the movie.
A New Hope is a good set up film but it lacks the drama of V and VI which cemented Star Wars into modern cult statuses.
The PT are all crap but I think honestly the got worse every release. Phantom Menace at least had the best Lightsaber duel in the entire franchise, and Liam Neeson carried i
