Marvel vs DC what's more for adults?
Everytime I see DC movies/comics or whatever it's usually meant for more audiences(from what I noticed it's more meant for adults as well as kids). But recently Marvel has been going for the more gritty violent approach toward film.

For some reason I can't really ever get into DC stuff, it's too friendly I guess. But Marvel with the Punisher, deadpool, Wolverine, daredevil, etc is better for teens and adults. I always found Superman, Batman, etc to be more kid friendly and when I would watch them it was.

That being said, I'm into more realistic, gritty stuff to begin with. So for me it seems like Marvel would be the way to go. Of course, some people would disagree. Then again I don't know too much about super heroes I could honestly never get into them. Hence why I always preferred people like The Punisher and Daredevil for example. That being said however I don't like batman, I just don't care for him. Maybe I subconciously hate capes and that's why I don't like people like Thor, Batman, Superman, etc. Who knows. What do you guys think on what's more adult oriented?

Well batman and superman are the only super hero characters I have ever liked. But to be fair I never read comic books. So the only thing I know about the characters are from their movies. The Avengers seemed very childish to me with the flying aircraft carrier and what not

Same here, the only comic book I had as a kid was Spiderman. But yeah the avengers thing is kind of childish as with most if not all of DCs line up.

Have you tried Dark Horse Comics...?

Marvel is pointed to the general fandom(comedy, plottwists, happy moments) whereas DC points to the adults who likes action, gore, reality(lel) and pain.
It's hard to just say "marvel" or "DC" since there's both grim and rainbow-like characters on both sides but if you asked me, I'd say DC.

Yeah I agree, I believe it depends on the character and the story. I believe Batman and Punisher are both kinda dark, and Spider-Man or Teen Titans are a bit more light.

So you use "brutality" as the main indicator of the intended audience?

Frankly, I'm an adult. I wasn't too fond of the first Daredevil season. I never finished watching Jessica Jones and the second Daredevil season, and don't know whether they have released other stuff already since I figured Netflix is just making boring shows.

As far as the MCU goes, I still like Agents of Shield. Agent Carter seemed OK initially, but got boring quickly as they kept going for their "everyone at the SSR (except Carter) is just a stupid dumbass" theme again and again and again. 2nd season didn't improve much either.

The DC universe appears to be more successful with me. I'm still watching all 4 of their active shows (Arrow, Flash, Legends and Supergirl). I didn't like how they never accomplished anything on the Savage storyline on Legends, but that's coming to an end, and maybe they'll do a better job next season. On Supergirl it's mostly Jimmy that needs to be fixed, but again -- just a detail, not an inherent problem of the show.

Marvel took the spotlight because DC made Teen Titans Go.

Because when fanboys disagree with your statement they'll try to argue with you, insult you, or even blackmail you.

You don't think you're over exaggerating at all for a topic so meaningless on some gaming off-topic forum?
