I just adopted a Bearded Dragon
His owner had to get rid of him. hes 3 years old. i named him Lord Leafy in respect to the Leafyishere. But i dont know what to feed him. Im also lacking in money so i cant really afford food for him. what can i do.

RE:
I found some spiders in the back yard and he ate 2 and then kind of watched me for 5 minutes. My friend says she knows about these cool guys. wish i could afford time for him but im a busy dude and i have school and work and responsibilities. ill update eventually to let you know how hes doing.

RE:RE:
Turns out a few of the spiders i fed Leafy the lizard actually bit him and no one knew about it. so Leafy is dead. Rest in Peace Leafy the Lizard

You should leave him by the road.

Bearded Dragons are native to Australia, if you just let it loose by the roadside it'll die on the first cold night you get.

For food, you're looking at a 60-40 mix of plants and bugs. You can get bugs(mealworms) from a pet store, they're cheap and you can buy whole buckets full. For greens, you'll want Endives and Dandelion Leaves. Again easy to get.

But really, you should go onto google and learn how to look after your own damn pet. I really hate people like you - it's incredibly irresponsible to get a pet you don't know anything about. That, or find a new owner who actually knows what the hell they're doing. :steamsalty:

You said YOU adopted it which implies you chose to. Okami may not have put it the most polite way but he's right.

What makes more sense, asking random people on a gaming forum for pet advice or just googling the astronomical amount of expert pet care guides that are available on the internet?

You don't have Google in your country?

Cool is bad, it's an Australian animal. Needs to be warm.

You should be kinder to Okami. I really hate people like you - you think you know everything about the guy from one paragraph. He might have some deep-seeded, unresolved issues that are causing him to act this way.

Scroll down to your (nearest) state, call them, and find some way to get the animal to them (gofundme might work for travel expenses, or get the owner to fork for it). You'll be rid of it, and hopefully someone who actually wants one and knows how to care for it will take it in.

Yes, cold blooded creatures slow down when they're cold. It doesn't mean they're "chillin".
