Games for Couples
Hey there! I'm curious to see what you all recommend for fun games to play with your significant other? My girlfriend and I will be long distance soon so I'm thinking ahead to games we can play even with the distance. Just a heads up, she has a Mac :steamfacepalm: But at least she already has a Steam (as well Age of Empires II and Gary's Mod)!

Fire away!

I would be worried if my girlfriend was long distance away, playing games will be the least thing entering my mind at this point :steamfacepalm:

But if you must, left 4 dead is a good co-op game to play.

I mean, we go to separate colleges but live in the same area on holidays (as we both still live with our parents during that time). Of course right now we're spending time with each other, I just think that playing games would be a nice thing to do, amongst other things, to make the distance not so bad. Thanks for the recommendation, too!

How far does she live from you OP, why would it not be possible to spend time together at each others parents house, unless her father would murder you for seeing his little girl or something. If she lives 100 miles away then I understand.

PS... I was young once, falling in love but now I im a man LOL

During the school year we are 1200 miles apart, so it's definitely not a hop and a skip. We are located relatively close right now so we are spending a lot of time together. I'm just thinking ahead for the school year, that's all :steamhappy:

1200 ??? im from the UK and them sort of miles are alien to us in britain. The full lengh of britian isn't even 900 miles. In the UK towns and cities are basically touching each other.

Anyway good luck OP, I need to log off now and chill in front of tele on my own:steamfacepalm:

What kinds of games does she like? It's pretty open ended.

I play most games with my wife, though she tends to sit next to me on the couch during it. My first recommendation is Don't Starve Together. That's probably our most successful co-op find. Very very highly recommended, but make sure you can clearly communicate while doing it, phone or otherwise. It can certainly test the strength of your relationship. Works with a controller or keyboard/mouse.

Path of Exile is an excellent ARPG, and works well as a co-op game. My wife likes finding all the things she can, which that genre is great for.

Dying Light is exceptionally well made, as well, for one with a different tone. It works really well with a controller.

I'd also recommend looking at the website 'Co-optimus' for a list of co-op specific games you can choose from.

Another game where to spend hours together. It have tons of content and gameplay is 2d procedurally generated metroidvania with a heavy crafting focus.

Portal 2?
My husband and I have a fun game called "Hide the sausage".

And another game called "Long distance relationships never work".

Oh... Videogames... Meh I'm sure there are co-op games called that here somewhere with all the indie crap steam lets in. :MMForFun:
