You get paid a lot more for being an ex-hacker. I am one myself, as a security expert.
However DDOS requires no skill/talent. It's just getting the BotNET up via servers, leeching bandwidth off others using that DDOS tool or using a trojan virus spreading to zombie infect others. They are just random weak "Opportunistic attacks" for bragging rights, hense there's no real purpose.
It's not a DDOS attack.
Rather it's an issue with the DNS name servers, probably a hacker attempted to change them to direct to a spam/phishing website. This is an exploit or issue with the DNS (not the server security). DNS (Domain Name System) is used when you type an URL into your web-browser, it changes that worded URL into an IP Address to connect to (so the computer can understand where to connect). They have been changed back and should be fixed.
If it's still not working for you, consider flushing your DNS cache.
Hold down your Windows Key + R to bring up the 'Run dialog box'.
Type "ipconfig /flushdns” then press enter.

Praise the Lord and everything holy.
HTTPs is the SSL (secure socket layer) encrypted connection. It's used to protect your connection from being hi-jacked or snooped when sending data across. If the Open Request fails to GET, it means it is either down on the server end or it's currently rejecting it because it's not a secured connection.
However, in this case it appears to be Roblox side:
"ROBLOX - 2 hours ago
We are aware of the server issues some of you are experiencing and we’re working to get ROBLOX back up to 100% very soon!"
I can suggest options on your side (if it's still failing later down the track), but it would actually be best to wait for them. It might just be certain country servers are still being fixed.
Thank you.
I really don't understand comments like this...
The game server doesn't affect you, keeps kids busy and entertained. Yet you wish them to be down? Why? So the kid comes and annoys you instead? It's otherwise quite illogical, unless your sadistic and enjoy a kid's suffering.
Just ask yourself what happens if it was Steam instead that was down?
