How is someone Emo, because my friend always wear black clothes and every one calls him emo. What does emo really mean? (Srry for bad English)

It's pretty close to the Goth culture, just more melancholic and sad.

Wearing all black doesn't make anyone emo, it's the way someone acts that makes them emo.

People associate anything black as "emo", but there's variety of style that wears mainly only black themed clothes.

An emo can look normal too, some express it with black clothing, along with negative views on things, the world, often some association with suicide or self harm sort of stuff.

EMO=Whine about first world problems while vaping and cuts themselves. Emo means emotional... So they are usually whiny little whimps.

GOTH=Smoke black clove cigarettes and cuts other people. Goths are a state of mind and usually have a like of things that are gothic and macabre.

Emo and goth are just fashion styles, but emo usually comes with the connotation that the person is gloomy, edgy and overly emotional. Hence "emo" - short for "emotional".

I think there are as many people who view the term "emo" as derogatory as those who view it neutrally or positively, but I wouldn't know given that I'm not "emo".

Black is protective and secure color, it can mean that person wearing mostly black wants to feel secure and protected and has nothing to do with emos or goths.

The difference is simple.
Emos cut themselves; goths cut other people.

The color black doesn't necessarily denote 'emo'. Mall ninjas wear tactical black as well.
