Put this in a mass effect forum
*claps*
lol in all the years Ive been a gamer Ive learned one thing. Only community that's worth talking about something is steam. Have you tried using also EA forums or battlefield forums? pfff terrible. especially since Im not looking for help. Im just complaining about it. This is my fav community so I come here. ALso this is the off topic section. you can talk about anything you want in here. If you don't like this topic there are more topics you can go and with that Im out
I mostly remember the downgrade they made with having a dialog wheel in Mass Effect, I knew it was going to start going downwards after that. Add voice dialogs and the R in RPG was almost a faint memory.
In short, it's always about scale and it feels like we ALWAYS get worse games as time goes on, with features that is. :(
The gameplay was nice, and it reminded me of the first Mass Effect game, I prefer ME1's and Andromeda's free exploration to be honest (even if planets in ME1 had less interesting planets than No Man's Sky) than the linear ME2 and ME3 locations where you can only freely explore a few small hub areas and not much else. The story wasn't all that interesting though, and I already forgot all of the characters in Andromeda.
If you play it in it's EA format, yeah it is a massive disappointment at the end.
Now... Andromeda... Yeah... Fun gameplay with the driving and shooting, but the story writing, dialog options, animations, textures, voice acting, and pretty much everything else is absolutely horrid and killed the entire franchise.
I kind of liked Andromeda then again I am into Elex and Technomancer and they aren't the most polished of the ARPG genre.
If anyone else had of made this game except Bioware I think the reception would not have been as bad.
He was name and forever internet shamed and fired so ahappy ending. You can buy MEA pre-owned and have that cake and eat without supporting the developer financially if you don't want to.
Man I love my cake.
I will play Red Dead Redemption 2 at native 4K on my Xbox One X Quantum Dot LED monitor.
Bioware haven't been great for about ten years or so now.
Mass Effect 1 built the story up
Mass Effect 2 perfected everything
Mass Effect 3 was really great until the ending Except for Marauder Shields
Mass Effect Andromeda, probably would've worked if it wasn't a Mass Effect Game. It tried to break away from the past 3 games and go it's own route, which I can understand, given the massive amount of stuff they'd have to code in for every little change your Character did in the past, but they just fell kinda flat on the story IMO.
Gameplay of Andromeda was fairly standard, Open-World Mass Effect with collectables and crafting like Dragon Age Inquisition, only with guns instead of magic and swords. You also had the Rover thing to travel around in.
Andromeda was just, kinda Bland I guess. I only liked about 2-3 of the characters in it, whereas in ME1-3 I liked basically everyone in some way.
Yes I am aware of Biowares slow down hill decline, but MEA was a straight off the cliff sought of deal. This is a big hot mess compared to the last game.
