Zelda BOTW is insanely, unfairly, outrageously, criminally overrated and overpriced.

In all honesty, it's just generic lame press-x-to-win slasher that gets boring in a matter of 30-60 min of gameplay. There is nothing special about this game, neither unique, nor fun. You just waving swords and spin like some dummie and even more dumber enemies bait to you and die of it.

No interesting ranged combat, no interesting nor fun to use magic combat system with no real diverse real-time ranged magic spells\skills, awful flat and empty environment, almost entirely lacking any kind of platforming, no first person mode, boring characters and repeative gameplay. I had much more fun playing the early 2000's R&C series with FAR more deep and advanced gameplay with lots of features that were fun, and even graphics somehow seem more superior.

And worst of all, you're forced to buy an crappy console device that won't find any other use besides that. At this point it's just feels like forced meme\advertisement as a strategy to sell their crappy consoles in a hope that nintendo become relevant again. I'd rather just play Skyrim\Oblivion\Morrowind which might be old, but far superiour and advanced adventure first person game with far, far more interesting magic system and overall combat. Hell, a fan made free games like Guncaster that work on my 20$ crappy chinese phone is far, FAR more fun than this overhyped garbage.

There's very little wrong with breath of the wild. It is yet another Zelda game which no one in their right mind would have expected it to not be. It does what each game has always done and added new mechanics.

I was able to enjoy the game more than Skyrim for example because Skyrim has simple repeating mechanics while Zelda gives you new puzzles all the time and makes you think around edges to use the mechanics...

Fighting in Skyrim is just bad to use to compare because it is bad TOO if not one of the lamest systems in games... Zelda fights are lame too IF you dont use the mechanics the game offers...

In the end i see a gamer who was disapointed and stupidly talks a good game bad...
