Why do YOU hate Nintendo?
I've heard many reasons why many gamers hate Nintendo. Some say they are family-friendly like Disney, others say it's the hardware of their systems. I love Nintendo, but why do so many people disagree? I want your perspective.

Its not stupid at all, each generation creates more immersive game experiences, The lie is that graphics don't matter, if that were the case we'd still be playing n64's. Power does matter on game consoles, even more so because you can't upgrade the things.
Graphics don't actually matter even slightly as much as everything else in a game, like music, gameplay, sound, art style, story, and a hell of a lot more. It might be important to keep up with the times in terms of graphics, but it's not important to be the best. And seriously, if you actually care about graphics, then why would you gimp yourself with a console?

Also, a lot of people are still playing older games, so that is the case.

Because some people like a simple turn key experience for gaming. If graphics don't matter, cross platform games would be just as good on the past generation consoles, but they aren't.
There really isn't much about the actual game engine that won't run on previous gen after all, only the graphics need to be nerfed, but its still a different experience.

I mean it shouldn't have mattered that the wii was not HD right? But it did impact the experience...

I didn't want to even get into this argument anyways, when I referred to hardcore gamers I wasn't even talking about graphics, I was talking about the elitists who look down upon people who play less intensive games.

All I have to say on the matter is in my previous posts, it's no use repeating myself, especially since the only thing you just keep saying is "Graphics affect the experience", of course they do, I wasn't saying they don't, but that everything else is far more important.

Also not entirely sure what you meant by "Because some people like a simple turn key experience for gaming", if you meant that people play older games just because they like simple graphics, that's only true for a small minority, some people just like older games more, or simply still enjoy the games and play them regardless of presentation.
I don't hate them at all i love the 3DS and WiiU and i don't have anything to hate it for awesome games on both consoles.
Because nintendo fangirls will look down on recycled yearly releases like like CoD then wet thier knickers over SuperSmashMarioKart 6.

They also seem to dislike DLC, except when its in thier games.

Also, Pokemon, Zelda and everything that has ever included Mario sucks.

Its a console for children and geriatrics.
Nintendo makes family & more casual games. I don't like either of those.
Growing up I was more a Sega fan (seemed everyone was one or the other) but later lent more to Playstation and Nintendo. My 7 year old is a massive Pokemon and Kirby fan so is only really interested in the older Nintendo consoles. We have a Wii, which I like for the amount of kid friendly games there are. Had an Xbox for a while and there was so little that was suitable there was no point and nothing much I'd play myself that I can't get elsewhere. Saying that the Wii U doesn't look great and if we get a new console it will be a PS3.
No hate for Nintendo.

I guess it's just gripes. I'd love to see them actually put a full Pokemon game that works on both 3ds and Wii U. Either that or make a 3ds emulator for Wii U. It will work perfectly with the Wii U controller.

But I guess it's sort of like a gateway. Like if Disney made a disc player to play their content and rarely branched out, No matter how much I love their content, I wouldn't be bothered supporting them. Sort of like the kindle fire series. Strong, affordable, locked out. Because if I bought a Nintendo console, chances are, everything else I could get ANYWHERE else, I'd get it there instead of on the console unless there's a specific feature. And that makes it feel like it a Nintendo machine. And I really can't support that unfortunately. I wish Sega And Nintendo traded places, because Sega was really onto something, Even back then. I honestly don't know what happened... If Nintendo bothered to release a strong console that could compete with other platforms I would soak it up like snails on salt.

Because I haven't had any Nintendo anything break on me aside from any fault of my own. And I have not seen that quality anywhere else. I just wish they pushed for a little more to get people who were on edge about it.
Why would anybody hate them?

Because they produce ♥♥♥♥♥♥ recylced games on a gimmicky console no-one plays.

No wonder they are hemorrhaging money. Thats what happens when you target the 13 year old demograpghic, they don't have enough pocket money.

Dont u know Nintendo is trying to go away from casaul?

Also from the big 3 (micro, sony, nin), I feel like they listen to the consumer the most. Possibly because of their E3(which I think was actually fun to watch)

i still have my N64 and most of my games and its still pretty damn fun i love nintendo i can not see anyone hating it its fantastic
meh, people yell "hate" so much, they forgot what the word means.

Sure, Nintendo probably didn't make the most excellent choices with their Wii console, but while that may bother some people, I haven't seen much hate about it. Just mild annoyance.

I still have a N64 also. But all of my flimsy controllers broke. The Z button was never the best
Considering that some of the franchises I like (primarily Metroid, Super Smash Bros, No More Heroes and Bayonetta) are at least partially exclusive to Nintendo consoles, I currently don't see any reason for me to hate Nintendo.
I may be a pc gamer, but my nes is always in the other room.
