Because some people like a simple turn key experience for gaming. If graphics don't matter, cross platform games would be just as good on the past generation consoles, but they aren't.
There really isn't much about the actual game engine that won't run on previous gen after all, only the graphics need to be nerfed, but its still a different experience.
I mean it shouldn't have mattered that the wii was not HD right? But it did impact the experience...
All I have to say on the matter is in my previous posts, it's no use repeating myself, especially since the only thing you just keep saying is "Graphics affect the experience", of course they do, I wasn't saying they don't, but that everything else is far more important.
Also not entirely sure what you meant by "Because some people like a simple turn key experience for gaming", if you meant that people play older games just because they like simple graphics, that's only true for a small minority, some people just like older games more, or simply still enjoy the games and play them regardless of presentation.
They also seem to dislike DLC, except when its in thier games.
Also, Pokemon, Zelda and everything that has ever included Mario sucks.
Its a console for children and geriatrics.
I guess it's just gripes. I'd love to see them actually put a full Pokemon game that works on both 3ds and Wii U. Either that or make a 3ds emulator for Wii U. It will work perfectly with the Wii U controller.
But I guess it's sort of like a gateway. Like if Disney made a disc player to play their content and rarely branched out, No matter how much I love their content, I wouldn't be bothered supporting them. Sort of like the kindle fire series. Strong, affordable, locked out. Because if I bought a Nintendo console, chances are, everything else I could get ANYWHERE else, I'd get it there instead of on the console unless there's a specific feature. And that makes it feel like it a Nintendo machine. And I really can't support that unfortunately. I wish Sega And Nintendo traded places, because Sega was really onto something, Even back then. I honestly don't know what happened... If Nintendo bothered to release a strong console that could compete with other platforms I would soak it up like snails on salt.
Because I haven't had any Nintendo anything break on me aside from any fault of my own. And I have not seen that quality anywhere else. I just wish they pushed for a little more to get people who were on edge about it.
Because they produce ♥♥♥♥♥♥ recylced games on a gimmicky console no-one plays.
No wonder they are hemorrhaging money. Thats what happens when you target the 13 year old demograpghic, they don't have enough pocket money.
Also from the big 3 (micro, sony, nin), I feel like they listen to the consumer the most. Possibly because of their E3(which I think was actually fun to watch)
Sure, Nintendo probably didn't make the most excellent choices with their Wii console, but while that may bother some people, I haven't seen much hate about it. Just mild annoyance.
