Projector gaming.

So, I'd been thinking of getting a new tv for afew weeks and looking around at display sizes. Then I went to a friends church for a gaming night about a week ago. They were gaming on a projector that was producing probably about an eight or so inch screen.

I hadn't thought about it, but looking into projectors more it seems asthough it could be a viable thing due to their pricing not being as expensive as I'd originally thought and bulbs don't seem to bee too expensive for lasting as many hours as they do.

Though, if any of you do game with a projector, what's your experience like? Would you recommend it to others? And what size screen would you recommend for pc gaming with a projector?

Yeah, turns out that some make gaming specific projectors even. It seems they're the ones that make sure their projectors have very low input lag and great refresh rates. The
Optoma HD131XE Projector being the one I'm currently looking at.. Then I'd need to find a screen. >_<

Played on a projector a long time ago in some computer club.

I gotta say, the light and colour contrast isn't really perfect, and depending on the projector resolutions might not be as crisp as an HDTV either, but it's sure pretty cool to play street fighter with the characters actually being as tall as people. xD

:/ I wonder if those things are affordable by now... back then they were easily around 1k for a meh projector.

Really nice projector screens are expensive.
You are really better off investing in a large quality panel, more versatile, get a projector after you max out the other stuff.
