Use iPhone for a microphone

Im going to be honest, i dont really have the money for a £150 headset, its why all of the games i own on here are bought in the sales so im getting the same game, just cheaper

but what if there was an app for the iphone where you could use the headset (i have a desktop and the mic port is round the back so its not as if i can just do that)
