Learn from AMD Gaming Evolved (Raptr)
Steam is getting old. It can learn much from AMD Gaming Evolved . Only a hint.

It has nice features like Twitch streaming and HDD recording. And and and. I dont know if the goal of Steam is to bring such features, but there are very great.

The community system is not bad too. Its getting better.

What dose these AMD Gaming Evolved has? i do not really use it (have a navida..?) and think abut it also that you are talking abut a software that in the sound of it is only doing that one thing... when Valve has many paths it needs to build as well as it has a longer time as well as it needs to be made for more hardware
AMD Evolved and Raptr are entirely separate services. Do you even know what you're talking about?

It's "powered by Raptr" to the point where even the interface is totally identical.

Bashing on someone only because he want to show Valve a software that has cool feature where they could learn maybe something to improve their steam for all of us ?

Bashing on me sounds very unfair when i want the best for steam and for us. I think some guys here are only want to bash peoples for no reason.

Yes, Valve could bring recording and Twitch streaming to Steam, but it's not going to be because this shovelware's done it.

shovelware XD ... :S ... steam is getting old .. i think we want to see that steam can be more than only a place to run publishers marketing and give us hard customer bindings.

Steam is improving, it has been for years. I'd love to see Steam add all those things eventually, but I'm happy with the music and in-house streaming, which no other client does yet.

the music streaming is quite nice, I want them to optimize the web browser soon though. It's rather slow and clunky compared to any other one you can download yourself. I know it will never be perfect since it's mostly for modest browsing, but... if it could go a slight bit faster I'd be fine.

It also does not play well with Adobe Air games either (play something like The Banner Saga and the browser goes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥). It's based off Webkit, which is odd, because it's clunky as hell.

I'm just pissed they force users to install that bloatware, atleast nvidia gives users the option of skipping geforce experience.

Catalyst is stopped in development .. thats true.
AMD Gaming Evolved ... is the future .... if you/me want it or not.

AMD Gaming Evolved is realitve new and has grown on nice need need features. But its a platform too for making advertising and that sucks a lot.

But anyway there are nice features. Steam can learn from it. I would love to see more in steam what AMD Gaming Evolved has because i have no fun in using 100 of applications in the background non-stop. Steam should be enough for me / is everything i want ... so im very glad about any new features that improved Steam like AMD is improving his software.

I disabled the raptr overlay to fix the double cursor problem on one of my games. Does anyone know how to enable the overlay again?

Yeah like Skyrim doing it...oh wait that is Steam they force you to install.

People who defend Steam like it the holy ground need to sort themselves out asap.

DRM for a game isn't quite the same as something being installed to use a GPU driver.
