i bought boxset from best buy for the skyrim game and im asking for help in the forms and some ppl accused me off being a pirate.... how ? clearly you can see ive made purchases why would a pirate have a steam account and buy games???? its called a BOXSET you install the game from a disc ... they sell it at stores like walmart and gamestop how old are the ppl on these forums???? they said oh your profile dosnt have it so that means you stole it...............i thought ppl were smarter than this

Skyrim requires Steam. If you bought a legit copy, it'd come with a key code you'd need to put into Steam in order to install the game.

Well... Skyrim is a Steamworks game, so it requires Steam to play it. I wouldn't blame them and yes "pirates" have steam accounts, it's not that unusual.

Actually, it's not mutually exclusive. You can buy one game and pirate the other for whatever reason.

But Skyrim requires registry with Steam to be installed. Even a physical copy would be on your account. It has very little to do with us being judgemental, and you just not knowing how the game's installation works. And you bought it three years ago? A physical copy of a game in 2013, from 2011?

It's one of two things:

A-You were ripped off, as the game NEEDS to be activated with Steam. Odds are you purchased a cracked copy. You cannot install and play from the disc. You need to run it from Steam. No ends, ifs or buts.

B-You're full of it.
