do you own one?

Nope. But I do know that with that kind of money, you can buy a new cheap smartphone that has WAY more uses and also the smartphone has the cancer game of internet itself: pokemon go

Also, emulators

I got mine mainly for Pokemon,I have bought other titles like fire emblem and monster hunter but its mainly for pokemon. Nice that it plays the old DS games too. The amount of time investment in any of these games is tremendous and well worth it if you have loved to play them in the past. Although if you do/do not plan to play anything else, perhaps an itch springs and you may decide to check out some of the titles in the 3DS' vast library.

As far as I know,if you buy the games from your original ds and willing to export it to the emulator. No

Buying a system solely for 1 game is generally not the best way to spend your money, but if you get many hours out of it, if it's an enjoyable experience, and you have disposable income then give it a go. If you're not sure about the choice then check if someone you know has it and check online reviews and stuff. Make a rational decision.

Not illegal, but it is against the forum TOS to talk about such things.

You might consider a 2DS if that's all you want it for.

Well, if you can afford it, then do it.
There's also the zelda games.

This. If you're going to buy a system for one game, you may as well buy the cheapest one.

Which one is cheaper?Normal 3DS or 2DS?

Also I still recommend the 2DS (if it's cheaper),I don't find a general use for the 3D effect anyways. My eyes hurt when doing it
