And it's dishonest cherry picking too.
I saw recent moans about Star Trek. Now, though I have zero interest in Star Trek (or TV at all), I watched it as a kid in the 1970s. It's ALWAYS been inclusive. So when they say "look see this is WOKE", they're being extremely dishonest and have fallen for pitiful propaganda.
The truth is not only was this the case and always has been, but outside the borders of America, there are TONS of countries that have had such inclusivity for DEACDES and not only did their world not collapse, but it actuall IMPROVES society on the whole.
It's just extremely sad people fall for such obvious ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
History Channel, National Geographic, Lucasfilm, Pixar, ESPN, Marvel...
All Disney and All dead to me.
Yeah, and I shudder to think how crazy National Geographic is going to get now.
Bad writing in general I did like some action scenes but would have appreciated some good writing in dialogues
Woke narrative being pushed Race,Gender maybe religion in near future
It neither feels like a family movie nor a adult one it tries to be in limbo of both
Pathetic forced Humor being shoved which isn't needed
It just doesn't feel like a Superhero movie it's more about today's society problem cliche I mean If I wanted to watch that I would watch something like Opera lol
In General directors not being able to unleash the potential seen in comics
If they just take everything from comics and direct it as it is in form of VFX,CGI, dialogues I would pay good money just to watch that
societal teachings. It turns out what is supposedly so good for society is really bad for the military, filmography, people's mental health, and so on.
The low audience scores in the film industry is the trumpet of warning, and there will no doubt be more collateral damage if things are pushed further, especially into sacred institutions. When tradition is no longer acceptable, degeneration takes it's place. I'm not a fan of politics, but it's impossible to dance around the statement without them.
The real problem is shallow pandering to nostalgia without any of the writers that made the original series great, rather than taking a risk on a new franchise with new ideas that the writers actually understand and care about.
I laughed.
Seriously, no one can claim that movie was WOKE at all.
Unless they don't know what the word woke means.
So, I'm going to assume comedy and not ignorance of a word. :P
I'm also not going to read every single one of the 105 comments, but I'm assuming you all are joking for the most part if you hate that movie.
Only 2016 Ghostbusters was a bad movie.
No human being can claim Afterlife was bad or had bad writing.
But to say it's garbage, or bad makes no sense.
I stopped watching Marvel after Endgame... it seems even more appropriate now.
Maybe some day I'll watch Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home... some day when I can see it for free, I'm not giving Dismaly another penny.
However, I must tell you that the comics have also gone quite political. It's no longer about superheroes going against the villains, but about drama, very forced love stories that end in more drama, all the ladies suffering needlessly (lord forbid we can have a good female character who doesn't have an emotionally destroying backstory), and villains who get the "Steven Universe" treatment even if they're on "screen" for a chapter or two.
I'm sticking to DC for now. At least I know the character in my pfp doesn't have enough drama to stop being a hero character.
