Religious persecution in the U.S. - Roe overturned.
The US supreme court has overturned Roe vs Wade.

Can we start a massive Gofundme to help women move out of the states where sharia law is going to go into effect?

Does Gofundme allow things like that?

Can they get refugee status from the UN for persecution?

2 hours in. And it's a constant barrage of responses from a hand few who don't even have any luck in the said department to begin with.

Most women know the difference b/w an embryo, fetus and a child. I think you're really talking about yourself here.
embryo and fetus are just labels.

You could've just said you don't know the difference. Either way, I'm out.

I think the health and safety of abortion-friendly states are mostly unaffected by this. And often RvW was used as an excuse to limit access to the bare minimum in unfriendly states. Despite popular support.

So it was a legal barrier to progress.
RvW was not a barrier to progress.

You will now see what a barrier to progress really is, when states make abortion illegal.
Many states that were in the “red zone” for abortion laws actually had popular democratic support for legal abortions far more permissive than what the state was allowing. They passed legislation and the state’s supreme court struck it down, citing roe v wade.

So it was a barrier.

I assume the next abortion precedent will be regarding interstate abortion commerce, and certain states will wind up specializing in providing abortions for their neighbors.

Everybody wins. :B

I too enjoy a good fight. It's boring when everyone agree with each other. :)

It´s more philosophical as it is about decisions and when life begins - and what are responsibilities, and how laws or judgments are influenced by religion. It´s a tie between biology and philosophy i´d say, while morals win as biology would be actual science.
If removing a few day old fertilized egg is murder, then what does that mean for the ~70% of fertilized human eggs that get sent down the sewerage system when they don't implant in the womb correctly after fertilization?

Sad accidents. Nature is cruel.

Are they allowed now or is it still against the rules? Would I risk being banned if I were to post political comments?

I wish Valve would clarify what the rules are now.

it means that the sewers are actual a mass grave and the government needs to protect the mass grave and make sure that the dead bodies arent violated

If You would do it consequently You had to say that any form of male masturbation also has to be illegal as You kill millions of possible children for no reason. And planned to do so. How much is the punishment for willingly mass murdering people?
Wow, I didn't expect this thread to blow up like this!

Serious about the gofundme thing though.

Since that is not necessarily within the control of, and may not even be known by, the woman, it's simply a matter of a "failed pregnancy."

However, if we take it to legal extremes, a "reasonable person" would know that the results of "sex" could very well be "pregnancy." In that extreme case, which I'm only illustrating and not arguing for, then we may see the failure to make a reasonable effort to save a human life, were such an effort actually be possible, as a situation that places the woman in criminal jeopardy...

Though, it's unlikely a failed pregnancy is due to any willful action on the female's part in your example, so it may be an unavoidable oversight as, at his time, no "reasonable person" would expect to be able to have knowledge of or be able to intervene in that situation, either.

Your quandary is based upon the notion that "human status" applies to a fertilized egg.

That is a problematic definition for just the same reason you outline - If it is not viable until implantation, we'll have a severe problem determining its true status if we call it "human" before implantation and viability.

It would mean, for instance, we'd have to revisit every burial law, every handling of every corpse, maybe even inheritance law... Who the heck knows? :)
