I was raised to be kind to people and hold doors open, men, women, disabled people, kids, whatever, it was just being polite. Most people say "thanks" and move on with their days.

I actually had something like this happen to me twice.

I held the door open for a woman each time just to have them start cussing me out and yelling that they didn't need a man to hold open the door and could get it themselves. Both times I immediately slammed the door in their faces and one just got angrier and the other actually thanked me.

They were both nut-jobs.

My wife dominates the kitchen, that's good enough for me.

Mutual emotional support is best. Someone who isn't ashamed to cry into your shoulder after a difficult time and lets you do the same. And just silently sit and hold each other, no words necessary. Chaste bear cuddles during cold winter nights when you have to lower the thermostat to keep the energy bills reasonable.

Though gentle nagging to not be a couch potato and pushing you towards self-care is also nice. Running side-by-side at the gym or doing dirty, sweaty yard work labor together, and then rinsing off the grime and sweat in the shower with a cool drizzle. Cold showers have an undeserved reputation.
