For dark vibe, there really only is Silent Hill soundtracks I think.

They fit the criteria perfectly.

If however, you're not after the music but the atmosphere alone from the audio picture, then Dead Space is THE best audio design ever. Bung on a decent stereo or a decent amp and headphones, and immerase yourself in the audio of a perfectly created derelict spaceship.

The stereo image is amazing. You know EXACTLY where things are in the image.
