The funniest thing about pokemon go is the name.

Messaggio originale di ṼṏẌṏḭḊ:
I hate Pokemon Go. It made oblivious idiots even more dangerous around here.
Some dude even came into my yard at night looking for Pokemon.

You missed your chance to catch a real life pokemon
Messaggio originale di swillfly:
Messaggio originale di Community is its downfall:
someone found a dead body while out playing pokemon go

ahahahaha!
JACKPOT
I laughed harder than I should have at this response. :spyrofire:
I don't play it at all but I still have a lot of friends that still play it. Some get really heavy into it.
Messaggio originale di Sir Dookface McFerretballs:
I remember Hillary Clinton saying "Pokemon GO to the polls!"

I still say that
Seriously, though, HALO, why?

Should Candyy just type "why should Pokemon Go have been banned worldwide?" into Google and expect to get what you mean?

Enlighten us, please, as to what this app is other than a game? Is it Satanic or something?
Remember? It was only the other year, of course I remember it.

My daughter ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with it a fair bit. Never interested me, but then I don't have or have any use for a mobile phone either.

Mind you, I like other Pokemon games. The last one I played was Pokemon Yellow on the GameBoy the other week. Forget how much I need to get the lighting right before I can see anything. Must get a proper backlit screen.

Oh dear, I suspect we're going to get another daft spiel about zealotry again....

nope, but you shouldn't have let your kid use it, google as to why, i really couldn't say it here without getting banned

No that's not how evidence works. If you mean regarding that spurious bollocks about data stealing then no, no issue there.

And she's in her twenties. You think I'd tell her what to do? Lol.

well that's one of the 3 main things.
but it's not the worst thing it can do, non the less i didn't know the age, wasn't going to ask age but i was thinking around the age of 10 or so, so my mistake still, i'd still worry.

also the other two things were on the news around the time this 1st came out and 2 years past that, really common and well deadly
No you didn't know the age, that's fair.

But unless you say what this is, I have no idea if you're talking crap. There are ways to post things on here to avoid breaking the rules. So what constitutes "dangerous"?

Are we talking it causes you to be nonchalant and walk into danger or is this some weird convoluted nonsense about the software? Explain, leaving words out if you think you'll get in trouble, because this sounds complete nonsense.
People in my area still play it frequently.
Less players but still enough I think.
Anyone remember 3D Monster Maze or Mazogs for the ZX81?

Now you're talking about nostalgia
Never played it and don't care
I tried out Pokemon go late last year. I used it a few times when I was in bed. I caught a few Pokemon. I never actually moved lol

well this is a hard one, and to be fair i'd most likely say the same thing, if google wasn't around,
but this is the safest link i can post, https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1939276/rapes-sex-attacks-and-gbh-among-120-crimes-linked-to-pokemon-go-within-just-six-weeks-of-games-launch/

also google pokémon go deaths.
ps fixed the link
Erm, no I wondered if you were going to go there.

That's not the fault of Pokemon Go or the devs or anything.

That's consequence.

Do you blame cars for being dangerous because a drunk driver can get behind the wheel and cause multiple problems, or do you blame the drunk driver?

So I thought this was histrionics and it is.

Sadly, EVERYTHING can be abused, so it's not the fault of Pokemon Go.

Anywho regarding your point about my daughter playing it. Even if I would tell her to be careful she would already know to be careful. We live in rural Lincolnshire where you can still leave your house unlocked. This is unlikely to happen here, but even so she takes care.

You assume wrongly that such things are done with sensibvle people wandering about on their lonesome in areas where nobody is. That's just not how sensible people behave.

So you're just wrong on both counts I'm afraid.
No.

Actually i remember using an emulator to play it cause i didn't had a smartphone but i got banned by Tencent.

that happened in aus as well, in fact all over the world, and is 100% pokemon go fault, there is more to this app then meets the eye, and that's why i said 3 main points you've seen two but the 3rd is the worse, and comes with it should be banned world wide,

it would've been better if they made it with the 3ds at the time, a bit safer to use that.

also the 3rd part makes being trying to be safe mean nothing.

now with why Pokémon go should be banned, now it does collects a wide range of personal and sensitive information, and it's easy to get said info, this isn't my 3rd point by the way, this just fits into point 2, this means any info and yes banking and more, and with anything you use on your phone it has all the info, it is spyware and all, and even says so in the tos.

also being in a car isn't the same as using a app, that has nasty side effects.

because anyone with a bran wouldn't use this app at all
You're not good at logic then.

The analogy with the car is NOT comparing a car with an app. It's comparing the LOGIC behind your claim.

Your claim is that Pokemon Go should be banned because some people have used it to do bad things. Well, people use cars to do bad things, so we should ban them too.

You see?

So I'm afraid yuor claim is irrational. It isn't Pokemon Go's fault that people have chosen to use it to do crimes. Any more than going out and date raping girls with rohypnol means that drinking must be banned or going out at night.

That's not how things works at all nor should they.

And as for data collection, yes it does that, as I said earlier. But again, that's no different to other apps on mobiles that do the same, and even then, it's known and up to the user.

It sounds like you just have an irrtaionl dislike of it and are making stuff up to support your belief.

Because this isn't the big thing you think it is.
