I would still play it but nowadays is just a mobile exclusive and playing shooters on phones doesnt make any sense, its uncomfortable, you can barely aim and a phone cant reach above 60 fps also thag nowadays csgo is free too so...
A friend did convince me to try out a Facebook'ish game, once. They greatly enjoyed it... I stopped playing it when it asked me for $5 to decrease the build time of a turret from 24hrs to "instant."
These sorts of games are entirely designed to be addictive and enjoyable. That is their entire focus. They are designed to be video-game crack. Their purpose isn't to entertain the consumer, though, it's to force the consumer to spend money in order to continue that constant flow of crack. They are tiny little torture machines.
Like Ravenwood Fair. Which John Romero somehow helped work on.
YEs, the guy who helped give us Doom somehow helped a facebook game. XD
Some facebook games should still be around, they don't all use Flash.
Only bomers play them now, but miraculously back then when YOU did it was all cool.
Yeah, that sounds legit and you are the arbiter of what is cool.....
Anywho, I'm only messing around, but I can't recall ever really playing anything on Facebook . I do recall in the earlier days there was something about these random chance cards that unlocked stickers or something (a bit Like Steam), and I remember messing around with that as I was annoying one of my friends at the time with them. But nothing for actual serious reasons.
Didn't appeal to me at all because, well, I had conventional games to play.
Not surprised, John Romero also started making mobile games in the 2000s before they were popular.
Anyway, Facebook stopped being profitable for game developers long ago.
what are essentially mobile games when I have actual games?
That being said, I used to compete against her in Candy Crush over Facebook. Much like we used to compete against each other in Puyo Puyo when I was a kid.
I could not compete then, I cannot compete now.
Oh and don't be rude - you might want to read the rules here about posting as you agreed to them.
