Well at least we've made a ton of progress since religion & kingdoms loss their grip of power a few centuries ago (global wise). Sure for people in the year 3000's would think we look like cave man / cave woman (as long we don't get a "smartass" politician starting WW3 with nukes), in the meantime we're atm on a transition period tech revolution wise, sadly many "ol' school" stuff is getting obsolete.

Or be able to somehow be a top researcher involved in the new bleeding edge tech projects OR be a top donor / investor to said projects, so any opinions from that individual can change the current & future geopolitical "climate" alongside the ongoing changes to the human paradigm, and their plausible ripple effects & black swan events, etc.

Otherwise, I highly recommend you give it a try to Stoicism philosophy when you got some spare time.

I don't think she divorced because of his money. If it's an age 20 female divorcing an age 60 guy it makes sense. Both are over 50, they have 3 children and spent over 30 years together.

What I think happened is that they realize life is short and they decide to live for themselves before death. After all, they have contributed to the community, raised their children, build up a legacy.

I don't think there is much love and connection in the family. Being super rich is a double edge sword. You can be extremely busy attending meetings, meeting other rich people.. and you might not have time to build up that concrete relationship with your children.

In their new divorced life, they can find new friends, explore new hobbies, to truly live for themselves. Maybe that is what they truly wanted.

i still think that's somewhat b.s.

maybe its pressure on all that stuff they do but also (from my older parent's perspective) dying with someone by your side is better than dying alone. It may sound co-dependent but if you've have someone stuck with you through thick and thin why let them go? Why risk finding someone else or parting ways with them?

It's not a domestic abuse or bad marriage (that we know off from the surface). Normal sane and respectful marriages ending in divorce is actually a sad thing to see happen. Again i'm holding out a bit to see if they bring new details like an affair or some ♥♥♥♥.

Purposely choosing a life of blissful ignorance is selfish and dangerous. I want the ability to know sticking my wang in blender is dangerous and not wasting EMT time (who wants to see a mangled wang anyway).
