Simon Says.

There's this guy that wants me to download his software & run it on my computer so he can check for viruses & sell me stuff to fix the virus but I never do anything he says because he doesn't preface his commands with "Simon Says". :steammocking:

:seewhatyoudid:
Raiden (main PC)
Tyrian 2000 (laptop)
Megaman 1-6. Technically newer ports/re-releases, but still.
Eye of the Beholder for me. :cozycrashfish:
Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.

Sim Theme Park, known as Theme Park World outside of Japan. Can't actually play it anymore due to it requiring the disc to be in the disc drive, and Windows 10 not supporting SecuROM, but it's sitting there, waiting for a patch from Electronic Arts or Bullfrog Productions that will probably never come.

Hi Sonic 6501

Ahh yes the glory of Safedisc drm, that caused me so many headaches even back in the XP and even win 7 days.

But support for Safedisc and SecuRom had been removed from Windows Vista onwards these days.

I'm guessing it is a retail disc copy you have, apparently most games that used this copy protection, if they were ever released digitally had it removed possibly because it is mainly used as a "disc in the drive" checking effort so that might be an option.

Saying that I have not actually seen it available digitally on Steam or even my favoured go to of old drm free games www.gog.com.

You may already be aware of some of these things so for that I apologise for telling ya what ya already know.
But I will put it all out there anyway, maybe it can help someone.

But there are a few options available for your physical copy that you may not have tried, likely some other people here will have had experience with making SecuRom itself go away or otherwise play happily on Windows 10 with retail copies of their old games.

One extreme example though --

It is really more of a case of Windows 10 playing happily with SecuRom not the other way round though as Microsoft decided it was in our best interests security wise so in that respect at least - if you cannot find a way to play it on Windows 10 you could create a specific environment for the game (and others like it ) to run on natively as a little project but just bear in mind if it is not virtually based and is in fact re animating or re purposing older tech - specifically an OS like windows XP for said purpose, keep it offline where possible.

Any required files can be safety checked and downloaded to your regular machine and put on a memory stick or other media to be transferred over safely.

If it was a cobbled together XP rig, it need not even have a case just a mobo sat on a big book with supported stuff supported appropriately.
I have done this before to re use old tech, it was not pretty and I had to "remember the old ways" for a time to get it up and running but then it was a great project and all the old games ...just worked.

But that aside there is also some info here.

If still no joy, maybe these links might be helpful as a starting point - emphasis on might- ...

https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Theme_Park_World

There is an entry there about the known issue with safe disc and though the microsoft link itself comes up as a blank there is another link found on known workarounds for windows 10 by clicking on the "safedisc" entry on the gamingwiki site.

Most of it you may already be aware of but there is a workaround involving installing older safedisc files to windows 10 at your own risk.

Or failing all that run the game on an actual dedicated offline retro machine with XP or maybe a virtual pc to offer the software it's expected environment.

Take a look here ...

Then scroll down a while to the heading that says:

"SafeDisc protected games do not work with Windows 10" for more info on that process.

I got it on sale (AUD$1.50) and I don't really install many games since I play one or two as a time.
Just about to start this game now.
