Other consoles that I owned and I really disliked are:
Nintendo 64 (but I really like a lot Super Mario 64, Doom 64 and Paper Mario, but I did not have the latter two back then, I skipped Doom 64 because I thought it was a port of the PC games and I don't like them that much)
the first DS (but I really like WarioWare DIY)
Playstation 3 (but I like it now, mostly because of all the ports and remasters of older games, ranging from Mega Drive classics to God of war 2, that have been released over the years, and the nice media player that lets you watch pictures, videos and listen to music, I love those things, I am a very big fan of the Photo Channel on the Wii and of the photo viewer in the 3DS)
XBox 360 (but it was much better than the first XBox and I bought it to play Oblivion which was an exclusive back then and I loved it so I have at least some respect for the 360. Not enough to really like it though)
Game Boy Advance (the original Gameboy was so much better. The Game Boy was exciting on its own it was unique and wonderful for its time, GBA felt more like a heavily watered down SNes with horrible colors (to let people see the games without a backlit screen I guess) and without any new Mario platformer game, with an awful amount of jrpg that I absolutely hate and not many games that I really cared about instead. What a letdown.
But still not as bad as the first XBox. The first XBox was awful.
I really dislike the Dreamcast too (I never actually owned one), but the first XBox is even worse than the Dreamcast, I really hate it.
And the PS4 too. I almost forgot it. I had it for a few months, I bought it to play God of war 2018 and I really loved it (but God of ware 2 is still the best), but other than that I did not like any other game. There were a few good ports and remasters of older games but the system was horribly slow, ugly and overall worse than the PS3, and it had less good older games than the PS3 (it did not have God of war 2, it did not have Oblivion, it did not have Child of Eden, Skyrim runs even worse than on my Switch!!!!). The first XBox is worse, but overall the PS4 is pretty bad too. It is like a much worse revision of the PS3 in my opinion, and with less games that I like. It does not count much the fact that at least one of those games is exclusive on PS4 while on the PS3 every single game that I like is NOT an exclusive, overall the experience I can have with a PS3 is still much better anyway and there are more games that I like so the PS4 has no real redeeming qualities in my opinion unlike the PS3.
Right now, with giant 50" ++ screens, would be the absolute perfect time for them. Everyone would have their own big huge screen -- compared to the 27" screens most people had back then.
Also, are you sure now would be the "absolute perfect" time to have multiple people inside the same room together?
all the games consoles ive had are PC, PS3, PS4, the original Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii, Gamecube, and the PS2
but my ps2 had the most problems with discs not working, games crashing, etc.
Because most of us did not buy one..
The horror... it was almost as scary as R.O.B
The game selection was never there... and they wondered why the thing wasn't selling
*I dislike that on regular consoles as well but their excuse of optical media not being fast enough does make some sence. The PSV used proprietary cards and had no excuse for not making them fast enough.
An @tGames Sega Genesis plug n' play with the cartridge slot. This was, and still is, bad.
Wireless infrared controllers that didn't work half the time, games played in PAL instead of NTS-C format, and the "arcade games" were junk.
Only good things were a couple of quite obscure titles I'd never heard of (but without any knowledge of what to do in them, mars even that experience).
