What was the worst game console you owned?
Mine was personally the Nintendo switch. I just didn't like it but it isn't bad. It's just not my thing. Controller are to small and I'm not a fan of hand helds. I'm more of a PlayStation guy myself due to some exclusive games.

Indeed, RRW. Commodore 64 was way better than the Ti99-4A or the Atari 800.

Not consoles, but still.

Any Nintendo handheld. I've always hardly played them and had so few games. Typically I got rid of them with in 6 months of the purchase... after doing that three times, I just stopped buying them.

Doesn't mean some aren't better than others. Older ones have to be compared to other's of their era rather than modern ones but that doesn't mean they can't be bad.
I agree and in this I'm an absolute totalitarian that computers (and preferably the extensions thereof which are called "super-computers") .... are supreme or at least superior in that sense of what's possible graphics wise or more specifically: hardware wise on them thus I think that everyone alive should at least at some point own a PC, ea. a Personal Computer and I am pretty you could say persistent in this.

I have a console friend who, definitely agrees with me on this one and this friend didn't even mention that cliche of "they're too expensive" I mean for about 500 euros you could get a working PC that could scale with a console easy especially if you would only upgrade it once or twice along the line.
I think overall they (PC's) are the better options but there are still situations where someone may be better off getting a console. For example if you don't play multiplayer then you can't play modern games on a $500 PC from late 2013 and most others on PC will berate you if you tried. Of course the ven diagram of people who still buy AAA games and don't care about multiplayer is extremely small and getting smaller, but it's one example where I'd recommend a console to someone over a PC.

I agree but I have to urge you to look at it simply: I think something like this might apply.

Consoles were singleplayer games at first, this is a face.

*fact, sorry.

PC's were singleplayer too but they always had the connectivity for multiplayer and becuase of this that option was quickly utilized.

After that everything went kind of downhill because the nature of the internet.

Became such that moderation was simply needed (to be guided in lines and forms) because it became all about competition who's better and since there's inheritily nothing wrong with competition (read: reason why we are here in the first place, but do we still need competition in that primitive sense? No I say), I think that it's just a choice as you said.

But to think of a young person and if they get a PC first a good PC because in modern times PC's are very good: they kind of hit the jackpot, right?

You can't ... I mean consoles are also good yeah so I don't know.

Honestly I just don't want PC's to die out, Consoles to die out and for us to do so equally.

Us being the players and I think this option is kind of cool, that.

Cheaters go to PC's and No Cheaters go to consoles. (I thought of this before also obvious because it's hard to cheat on consoles)

TY~ :yoricktheskull:

I donno about that fact, HellsWind. Consoles since the Atari 2600 all had multiple joystick ports, while PCs wouldn't let you do that for many, many years. Console gaming was, since the very beginning, a multiplayer, in the living room experience with family and friends. Everyone's house I hung out at in my early 20s was playing NHL or Madden head to head on the Genesis, SNES, then the Playstation.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen more than one person playing a game on a single PC. Can you even plug in two controllers yet?

Edit: I'm asking in all honesty, I don't know. I know I have the X360 controller and the wireless adapter for PC, but I've never had the need to try and connect a second controller to it.

Let alone four.

Hmm you got me there.

It's just that I was brought up to do solo singleplayer games as it were but I remember in a long time ago that yes indeed one could argue this was the case.

In a way consoles are superior to PC's. You win this argument.

(pardon me I can't perpetuate the discussion forward I let people go over us or me in this case as usual because that is the standard, ty for commenting, I have to ponder some things)

Well, I take it back, I have seen lots of people playing at the same time, but only in hotseat games like Civilization, Pinball FX, and Heroes of Might and Magic.

Which part?

About the multiplayer? Well. I mean... PC's are like best simulation tools.

I think consoles died for me when they introduced the internal drive and game installs.

They were perfect and distinguishable from PCs when all you had to do was either insert a cartridge or a CD and play the game, with no install.

"Which part?"

Where I said I've never seen more than one person playing a game on a single PC.

I actually have, but only in turn-based hotseat-style games.

Today consoles, with the exception of Switch (I think, I don't know), are basically the same as PC, but with severe restrictions. You can't just pop in the disc and play -- you pop in the disc and then download the other 90 percent of the game. You have to be online. You can't create art or music, or install your own video or audio player.

I guess I'm saying I'm done with consoles until they can recapture what made them different in the first place.

I've never actually used it nor do I know if anyone ever has, but I have COD BO3 on PC and it allows for splitscreen.
