This list? https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/backward-compatibility?cat=xboxOG
About every game on there is a winner.

I especially like Mercenaries, Panzer Dragoon Orta and Unreal Championship 2.
Too bad Rallisport Challenge 2 isn't on there; that's the best rally game on the system.

(that is a short list)

Neat, thanks! Jet set Radio future is on there too! However, I don't have a conventional disk.

Yeah, I've got to echo what Palid says. On that backwards compatibility list, there's a lot of great games. MS have been pretty good in selecting what to get running, and some of the improvements to the games have been nice too. So nice to see some fo them run at a decent framerate.

One underrated one that popped up on Games with Gold a couple of months back is "Armed and Dangerous"

It's a somewhat mediocre shooter that IS fun, but the absolutely daft crap storyline is what makes it shine. If you like Pythonesque humour, that should float your boat.

Mercenaries is a truly great game. It was overlooked a lot because it was turned out at that time when every game had started to be open world. It has got a load of playtime in it and stands up well today.

Generally speaking, the old Dreamcast and Sega ports are well worth going into because Sega were intending the Xbox to originally have full Dreamcast support (but the deal didn't go trhough). The point is that these games are well done on the system. The usuals like Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, and so on are obvious classics. ButI don't know if it's on the list, games like Headhunter are excellent and underrated too.

Oh hey! This is off topic, but it's you again! Hello! And yeah, gotta agree, a classic super monkey ball game is on there! Better start collecting! (too bad my copy of JSRF is a double disk (with sega GT) and a demo disk at the same time as well... And I have a copy of some of my childhood GameCube game on Xbox which are Pac-Man world 2 and sonic heroes which are not on there, ouch.

Isnt the OG Xbox version of Splinter Cell Double Agent supposed to be the best version, even among the 360 and PC versions? I heard it was made by the original team while the other versions weren't, or maybe it was a different console that got it...

So far when I insert a original Xbox disk into my Xbox one it says I need a Xbox 360 hard drive, any help?

This may sound like a stupid question, but have you tried playing Xbox One games? Also what Origonal Xbox game(s) have you tried?

Unfortunately those aren't listed as being compatible. Microsoft had to patch each individual game to work with the X1 and for various reasons (lisencing, lack of popularity, etc.), some titles weren't patched to work with it and while I think MS is still adding 360 games, I think I read they won't be adding more origonal games. *IDK why it doesn't just say that instead of saying you need a 360 HDD.

*I've been thinking and since the Xbox emulator seems to run inside of the 360 emulator, it might just be saying what the 360 would say if you put in a non-compatible Xbox game.

Hello again!

I didn't realise there's a Super Monkey Ball game on there. I've not really been keeping up with the list, as I keep all my old games anyway. It is good to see that they are gigivn gthis love to such great titles, and not even necessarily their own.

This piqued my curiosity. I'm going to have a nose later and see if I can trigger that and find out what's happening. Likely a compatibility thing, but I'd like to see it for myself.
