We know life isn't fair, yet
Why do we always fall into talking about and complaining about fairness?

Like people will pick up a hard game and complain its not fair, go into a high compeditive, unfair industry and complain about fairness, we'll fight over two people doing the same job getting paid different amounts because the boss likes one person more, etc.

Why the obsession with fairness?

Real life and video games are two entirely different things.

Life will never be fair.

At least with video games we often have cheat codes or mods.

Is games really fair? Like in minecraft we can build a tower than farms and kills things without them having any chance to survive. If the player were to always spawn in that tower, people would be foaming at the mouth.

Those people who claim life's not fair, they are just jealous of other people's achievement and think they deserved everything.

That is both patently incorrect, and blatantly conceited.
Only the strong survive
life and game is difference ,

life is unfair , someone can be famous ,someone not , someone born into a rich family someone not , , so each person start with different point

but in game anyone is the same , we all start at zero at same points
the game world is fair

and a example on profesional tournaments , your wealth and popurality doesnt work , only skill matters and everyone is treated as same

another example: in gta 5 online : a player who played 1000 hours , why he should be at same lv as someone just started with 0 hours ? .
it is just a matter of who played more who participed more , but at end everyone start at same points

Indeed, its more like survival of the youngest, than survival of the strongest.

Life is not fair, true.

Those people who claim life's not fair, they are just jealous of other people's achievement and think they deserved everything.

I claim that obviously life is unfair, but I am not jealous of other people, and I certainly don't think that I deserve everything.

By your two statements, you seem to be saying that you are jealous etc.
Nothing is fair. And it was meant for things to be that way. The problem lies in realization of the situation and adaptation of a unit to a system, inside the ecosystem. What trully matters though isn't fairness, but resourcefulness. Nobody can give you whatever it is that you can't procure, with your own skills or any means necessary. And all of your "conquests" remain contested territory, whenever other people are around. Especially people who learn by mistakes, will never claim "life's unfair".

Life can always be fairer. The problem I see is alot of people who claim to be treated unfairly are largely given extra privileges and now they just want more privileges instead of actually being treated fairly.

Last summer a close friend of mine had his business burned down in a major city by people claiming to want "fairness (BLM)" and then the people who burned down his shop had all their charges dropped by a DA who had an agenda. My friend is a black guy, first generation to own a business or go to college. The insurance company covered some but not all. With the crime spiking in his area he's not going to re-open. He's not sure what he's going to do. That's not fair.

It's not fair that the insurance company screwed him.

It's not fair that the police aren't doing their jobs and policing the area as much because the police are scared of being arrested for doing their jobs and the higher crime in the area ensured my friend won't be starting up his business.

It's not fair that the people who looted and burned his store to the ground won't be held accountable.

It's not fair to his kids who are having to spend time with their grand parents out of state and not see Mommy/Daddy.

And those kids are going to be growing up knowing the cause of all this trouble and thinking to themselves life isn't fair.

Why the obsession with fairness? Because fairness is hope. Fairness is the ideal to strive for. Think of my friend, if he would of been treated with fairness at any point of that horrible incident then life would be drastically different.

Knowing life isn't fair and agreeing with it are 2 different things.

If everything is OP then nothing is OP.

For example in Modern Warfare 2.....
Knives, Noobtubes, Duel Wield Model 1887 Shotguns, One Man Army, Painkillers.... the list goes on.
