Tell me a word in English that has Greek roots and I will explain it to you.
For example scientific terms, phobias, chemical elements and have Greek roots. There are other words that do have Greek words such as: climate, hero, hygiene, drama, synonym, idea and many more I can't name all.

Well it's not actually 100% Greek because some words also come from Latin in English but yeah. It has a correlation with the word "Giga" kinda like we say Gigabytes and all that. Giga practically means very huge.
wasn't there also a french word geanté or something like that? I hear that's the origin of the word giant in english
It's Géant.

Actually the word "epoptes" means supervisor in Greek. Not a common word to use.

:steamthis: This. English is made up of many words that actually come from other languages (French, Greek, Latin, Hindi, Arabic, and the list goes on) and I learned many of them way back in my school days. 📖📚
The Ku Klux Klan comes from the Greek word Kuklos with clan.

Did you know Latin has a word for "reaper"? Both as a direct translation and a translation otherwise, "messorem" means "reaper".

Well I don't know much about Latin but the word reaper in Greek is not even close to the Latin one.

That would make sense, as they are different languages. Obviously, the English one isn't close to the Latin one, either.
