Do you dream in color or black and white?

I read a report / article (maybe non-peer reviewed survey) about people asked how they dreamed. Those born before colored TV dreamed in black and white and those who were born prior seem to dream in color.

I think there was a follow up (or someone told me) where the people raised with higher definition colored TV dreamed in clear colors while those born in the dull color era dream dark or light-less dreams (like if there's 3 persons and all have the same dream about a house 1 will dream in black in white, another will not see much of the house or it will be usually very dark, and the final one will dream about a well lite house).


So how do you dream?

I tend to dream in dim lit / greyish color pastels like if i dream about my house it'll be brown grey and some dim lighting (when my house is actually yellow and bright colors especially the kitchen).

All of the "bad" dreams I have are most always outside near a forest but a little more saturated. "Good" dreams always seem to have a bit less saturation. For the most part, my dreams are kinda neutral where nothing bad happens, these dreams look just like real life.

It depends on the dream, I suppose. In some of them I recall colors vividly and in others I don't, so perhaps the latter are in monochrome. (I usually don't remember my dreams long enough to make a distinction between the two.)

What about the people who don't watch TV or the people who lived without TVs? They probably would also dream with how they saw things.

Really? Of all the posts in this forum that you could have said that about... it was THIS one?!

This seems like a pretty genuine question which likely has ties to the "Tetris effect[www.google.com]".

Primarily with Tetris, some actual research has been conducted in seriously questioning why the things that people do, when they're awake, impress upon the shapes that their dreams take on - as well as how frequently this happens.
