Why are all the older call of duty games still so expensive?
I wanted to play through the entire campaign of all the cod modern warfare games in the franchise, but the remaster of 4 is like £40? a full priced title even though its pretty much dead and outdated, mw3 is also expensive, i can understand modern warfare 2019 being expensive but 4 remaster or 3? feelsbadman

CoD is known to be extremely over priced on Steam. I've been wanting to play COD World at War for years but it's $30 off sale and $15 on 50% off and there's no way I'm even paying $15 for a few hours campaign and a few games of zombies lol Hopefully one day soon they drop the prices and also I WISH THEY ADDED GAMES LIKE COD 2 BIG RED ONE

Because they value their games high and ppl would still buy it. It's the same tactic done by nintendo

yea its bad, i wouldnt mind playing the classic cod campaigns too they were awesome, but i cant spend like £100+ on 4 games for campaigns alone, its unreasonable lol
I was wondering the same things.
I wanted to try out CoD 2 again but uh, aint gonna pay 20$
The unpopular CoD's go on sale for steeper prices if you fancy giving them a go.

Because their marketing people know their audience.

Edit: I should add: and take advantage of it.

Physical copies of out of print games tend to be pricey, regardless of the genre, system or medium. Especially games that are either beloved classics or contemporary memes.
they know that a lot's of peoples will pay those prices.

Activision wants you to purchase the new one, so they keep the price on the old ones high.
