Hi all

In off-topic, I see many truths and deep thoughts from different people. People are never afraid to share their fear, troubles and theories in a respectful manner. The topics became a good discussion when it's met with the right people with a mature mindset. After given it some thoughts I decide to discuss this little issue I'm facing, hopefully this topic can also entertain you a bit. : P

As you can see I'm displaying my name. By doing so I wish to build up my name both in real world and online. In a positive, contributing way and for long term. I've since sent donations, games, cosmetic skins to people with low end PC and also sharing as much as I know on forums.

Naturally, I look for other female friends and searched for them from female gamer groups. I soon learn that not all of them are female; it is fine for me if the guys are having fun roleplaying, but then a darker truth surfaced. Some of them are pretending to do so in order to bait for gifts and fans. I respect and applaud the people who expose them. So what about the other real girls? They moved onto twitch and onlyfans and did the same. ^ ^;

With such an experience, I understand why people tend to avoid people with female names now. I thought of changing my name too, or maybe just roleplay as a guy, but I think I have nothing negative to hide at all. I believe people will know me better with time and never a need to fear. If they see me as a fake, they can probably still respect me with a guy image. I'm ok with it. I don't talk much in private chat, I gave advise on how to prevent scams, so there is just no way that I'm a scammer.

In this month alone, I've seen up to 5 people who quote my messages and agree with my opinion on their topics. I'm very happy to see the positive remarks. However, their positive messages soon disappeared (they delete it). I wish to know why and tried adding them, and to my surprise there is an error (which means I'm blocked). They applaud me, yet at the next moment they changed their mind and block me instead. Something isn't quite right. Also I did nothing wrong and suddenly I'm blocked by people I don't know.

Another experience, when playing an online game there are people who wrote remarks such as "oh you're from the steam forum". Next there are negative comments throughout the game. I've talk to them and we became friends. Asking for reason why they do it, they told me that a group of people have been criticising behind me, so they are only taking caution and not dared to friend me at the moment. Not sure how true it is, I get a goosebump feel because it's almost the same experience I get in office where people will backstab in order to keep their jobs and sense of belonging, but this is just a gaming community and nobody gets a single cent.

I don't know if a group of haters exist, all I know is it's wrong to critisize people forever. It just shows that you need to critisize others in order to stay afloat. I hope that people who has drawn a negative image of me due to those comments can set that fear aside, or even better talk to me to clarify things. I'd be happy to talk to you anytime.

The problem is you don't own yourself.

I guarantee you're thinking about them more than they are about you. You can't control how others think, so just find out who you are and hang onto that for dear life.

Simple rule for life in things like this - STOP TRYING TO IMPRESS PEOPLE. And stop worrying about whether they like you or not, or try to second guess why they're doing certain things.

Life is MUCH more enjoyable if you stop trying to overthink things and put up barriers or some such where none exist.

There's one thing I bang on about constantly, and that's SELF-HONESTY.

Be right with yourself BEFORE all else. It's not only valuable when you're considering buying stuff or getting into a certain hobby, say, but it's REALLY useful when going out into the world, making friends and stuff.

Granted, I'm an old git in his fifites, disabled and stuck at home most of the time. I'm retired too, so I have all the time in the world to dwell on stuff. But I don't. Simply because I long ago worked out that when you are comfortable within yourself, confidence comes, and with that empathy and everything else.

And it's not just believing but He send life guideline how to live our life in best way. Every step in our daily thinking and act ( sahih hadith on Prophet Muhammad sunnah. How Mercy Allah is. Maybe you can check how to deal your problem by reading how he teachs every human kind how to handle life. Anything. Hope it help.

I'm sorry to hear that Irene, that is really creepy. I guess it is still quite common, now that I think about it. The problem is there are communities of creeps, doxxers, stalkers and haters. They all reinforce eachother's behaviour and celebrate eachother's behaviour and that way they can justify it to themselves. They all know what they are doing is disgusting and wrong but they give eachother positive feedback so they try to feel like what they are doing is normal and acceptable. It's not though.
