Twitch was just hacked... Literally ALL of it!
Apparently twitch.tv was just hacked and leaked, including account information, source code, PMs, passwords, everything.

And by ALL of it I mean cellphone app, game app, console app, website, everything.

the leaked data is said to include internal penetration-testing tools.

-The entirety of Twitch’s source code with comment history “going back to its early beginnings”

-Creator payout reports from 2019

-Mobile, desktop and console Twitch clients Proprietary SDKs and internal AWS services used by Twitch

-“Every other property that Twitch owns” including IGDB and CurseForge

-An unreleased Steam competitor, codenamed Vapor, from Amazon Game Studios

-Twitch internal ‘red teaming’ tools (designed to improve security by having staff pretend to be hackers)

If you use twitch, you might want to change passwords, or stop using twitch.

Facebook on Monday. Twitch today.

I'm betting Twitter gets hacked on Friday.

YouTube will be next week.

And then all of the internet goes down after that

The internet will be found dead by "multiple" suicide gunshots to the back of the head in a few days. lol

If I remember correct, Twitch is a website that let's you stream, and you have to pay monthly to use that service. You'd expect them to be more secure.

You'd be surprised at how many supposed technology "professionals" have a "passwords" file unencrypted on their computers and servers.

These two things caught my eye, I can't help but wonder what some of the first comments were about after reading that (including internal developer testing comments).

Also curious about video game related developments that could possibly compete with Steam as a service. The name sounds familiar now that I think about it.

Are accounts linked with twitch compromised too?
The leak is labelled as “part one,” suggesting there could be more to come.

Video Games Chronicle reports that Twitch is aware of the breach, but the company has not yet informed its userbase.

The leak doesn’t appear to include password or address information on Twitch users, but that DOESN'T mean this information hasn’t been obtained as part of this breach.

Just assume when a site is hacked this much that it is a good time to change passwords or not use their service anymore.
