How do you arrange your desktop?

I think Windows' default is still just to go down the left side and loop back around when it reaches the bottom. And some people just save everything to the desktop for reasons beyond my comprehension.

I like to group my icons by their purpose (games, text editors, artistic utilities, etc) and give each one a row (or more than one row if needed), sorted alphabetically, then order the rows from longest to shortest. Then I usually have my folder shortcuts heading down the right side, but I'm kinda reconsidering that one since my resolution keeps changing for some games and it messes up the placement of those.

well my wallpaper is a picture of a snowy mountain with some trees

so i just put shortcuts and folders and everything anywhere on the wallpaper where i can see them clearly. mainly in the snow. cuz if i put shortcuts on the trees then it's hard to see them

a really weird way to organize... but it works i guess

I have 5 icons on my desktop, "This PC, Network, Recycle bin, HQ and Games"

HQ is a folder for pictures, downloads and my tools for fixing my computer when things go wrong, my games folder is just shortcuts to games.

My start menu is along the top of my screen.
