Doom Guy killed them both. Well, he destroyed the Fathers essence anyway, but he fully splatted the Dark Lord.
Simply put you can cherry pick enough bits that fit it. Just as you could cherry pick the same against it.
Personally, I don't se the point in even bothering to attempt itas religion is something that shouldn't even enter into it.
If it's meekness and "turning the other cheek" from the original Nazarene teachings, then no, if it's a more militant "defense of the faith" in the Templarian tradition, then it could be, but it would have a underlying "Gnostic" component to it, in which Doom guy / Doom Slayer takes on Cainite characteristics in order to destroy the "illusions of flesh" (demons) with sword and fire.
Might be worth noting that parental religious groups disliked and expressed discontent with the overt Satanic themes of the original DooM back in the early 90s, but at the same time some "traditionalist" parents nowadays might want to motivate their children to have a bigger "fighting spirit" in them in order to better overcome the obstacles they will face later in life.
So there's some truth there.
