Fair enough.
Heard they're in bed with Tencent, which is troublesome.
I do have epic game installed , I played a few free games from there , most of the time you can add them on steam as ''non-steam games''.
Personally I don't use the Epic store because their catalog is limited and they don't offer anything I can't already get from the platforms/stores I currently use.
As far as I know almost all are timed exclusives.
I think it runs at less RAM than Steam, I don't know further since I haven't installed the Epic launcher.
Only if you want to, love. And it's ok to exaggerate.
The list: https://www.pcgamer.com/epic-games-store-free-games-list/
That being Heroic[github.com], or if you are comfortable with the terminal, Legendary[github.com]. (Note this isn't a method of bypassing, it requires a genuine licence to work.)
Well, I only heard of 1 year long exclusives, but I think it only depends on the publisher and Epic themselves.
Absolutely, the official launcher (don't use it, ditto of #1) is massive...
As far as I know, and in my country, nothing like that is required.
Free game giveaways are genuinely rad sometimes. I never miss out on a giveaway probably because I'm a big dumb free game collector, but I don't regret piling up my collection, I loved playing the few I did.
Buying, no, their purchasing system purposefully avoids the basket to make you spend more and as far as I know, it's a clunkfest and is the last platform where you want to buy games. Freebies though, many of them are DRM-free anyway, I guess there's nothing much to lose.
Except for social credit score. You'll probably get some points.
Heck, I would do it.
I've got an Epic account and 116 118 games on it that I picked up for free.
Some of them look like junk (or titles that I'm not interested in) but a lot of them have been on my Steam wishlist at some point, so yeah, I think it's worth having my Epic account. 👍
