Anyone watch YTP's before?
If so, what advice you have into making one? I get burned out trying to make one

Be as random as possible but in a clever way. Or you know, plagiarism.

Watch many more.

They are an art form that can return but you have to be very, very delicate. there really are some that are gems, but a lot more that are pretty garbage.

Also if you got 'burned out' trying to make one, it's not your thing, don't add to the pile of plain junk videos. There's plenty of that to go around.
Don't worry too much about whether your creation is garbage.

The earliest YTPs are things that would be regarded as garbage today anyway. Heck, they were basically made as Windows Movie Maker test videos.

But remember the point of YTPs is that they are expected to be low-quality. Cheap gags. Effects thrown in because they're funny. Making characters say stupid things. Making random stuff fly back and forth. Adding sound effects to make things silly. And so on.

As for content to avoid, I'd just say, try not to be edgy. Edginess is not humor. Often it's the opposite of humor. So, like, you don't want your YTP to be an emo teenager spouting political opinions.

Instead, a better idea would be to make your YTP a 10-year-old who has a great (read: funny and stupid) idea for a practical joke or "random" humor. Did something sound like a fart? Replay it! Slow it down to make sure people hear it's a fart! Add a scene of people complaining that it stinks in here! Laugh at your own joke!

I never thought ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ could be considered an effort-heavy thing.

It was a big thing back then and probably is still today.

Ah, I loved YTPs. Never made significant video editing, so I don't have anything to tell you, sadly.

there's good YTP's but those are EXTREMELY rare, as most are the same boring and unoriginal format from 2009

YTP definitely brought me loads of laughs and joy and whatever for sure. Billy Mays FTW!

the humor should be more than just playing the same clip backwards and forwards, and basically try not to use the same joke too often

your ytp can have an established plot, or it can be just random crap meshed together

it can also have elaborate modern editing or it can be cheap effects from 2007, either way is fine

otherwise just go wild and don't worry about getting it right the first time

I take it that means you have never watched any of ManSlayers YTP.

His are a disturbingly well crafted insanity. Here is an example...

And to quote the great Commander Shepard... "We'll Bang, okay?”

And op, watch his stuff. He has a lot of it, and it is chocked full of brilliance and one-liners.
