The avarage work week in China is 40 hours.
There is laws such as only 1 hour per day overtime and 3 hours in special circumstances, if its not danger to the employees health. You can maximum work 18 hours + per week, no matter the circumstances.
US is similar, they also have a max 40 hours work week, but with special rules for certain businesses, that can go with up to 44 hours a week.
US workers, can work up to 38 hours of overtime in a week.
Some fields does not even allow overtime pay, but just regular pay all hours, like.. Executive and administrative employees, Computer proffesionals (various proffesions) Farm workers, Seamen on foreign vessels (sorry I just had to take this one), Employees of motion picture theaters, Nurses, Policemen, doctors, etc. Because of their line of work.
In my region 37 hours is the norm, anything above that is overtime (most have union agreements) but EU actually has a 48 hour weekly maximum. However there are tons of rules about breaks, etc. that you don´t see in other places.
All in all.. people actually do work similar amount of hours. It depends more on professions and educational level, rather than the region/country you are from. We might also semi conclude that the biggest differences are avarage pay/breaks per day/rest per day and rest per week.
I mean overall and also in China.
Adult being above 18 in this case.
Sometimes for some people this is the norm without any restriction, lol
I believe that most gamers are teens.
I think that it is extremey rare for people to start playing games if they did not do that when they were kids or ast least teens.
Of course in countries that have very low birth rates most gamers are adults because there are more adults than kids.
I have US stats
https://www.statista.com/statistics/189582/age-of-us-video-game-players-since-2010/
But I have seen various others gathered and I have posted them in other debates. The vast majority are adults. There is also almost 50/50 in terms of gender spread.
